Cuatro esculturas que semejan hipopotamos que en un tiempo sacaban agua que caia ennel centro y que hoy en dia a dejado de funcionar. Tal vez la sequia, tal vez el olvido de las autoridades locales; tal vez el tiempo deja clara muestra de ese olvido y el tiempo no perdona
 The hippopotamus fountain, next to the west terminal. Forgotten by all, it survives time. Four sculptures that resemble hippos that once drew water that fell in the center and that today has stopped working. Perhaps the drought, perhaps the forgetfulness of the local authorities; maybe time makes a clear sign of that forgetfulness and time does not forgive

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esta fuente es un gran componente visual del plan original de la Terminal de Autobuses de Observatorio y que corresponde a los planes nacionalistas de los años 70's, por lo que representan en cuatro piezas al modelo de un famoso jaguar, como "vaso de corazones". Cuya pieza original se localiza en el Museo de Antropología de la Ciudad de México. No es como la han mal llamado una "Fuente de Hipopótamos". This fountain is a great visual component of the original plan of the Observatorio Bus Terminal and that corresponds to the nationalist plans of the 70's, for which they represent in four pieces the model of a famous jaguar, as a "glass of hearts". Whose original piece is located in the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. It is not what they have misnamed a "Fountain of Hippos." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Buen punto de referencia, buena vista ahora que está encendida la fuente, ojalá fuera todo el tiempo. Es un poco concurrida la zona, está en un espacio vehicular muy transitado y detrás de la central de autobuses, en estos momentos es difícil acceder ya uq el área está en remodelación.
Good reference point, good view now that the fountain is on, wish it was all the time. The area is a bit crowded, it is in a very busy vehicular space and behind the bus station, at the moment it is difficult to access since the area is under renovation.
