Fuente del Zalate o llamada por los lugareños Pila del Zalate, lugar donde la población de Jiquilpan se podía surtir de agua hasta empesados los años 90's por medio de cántaros de barro. Cuenta la leyenda que si daban de tomar agua de la Pila del Zalate al enamorado o enamorada nunca se iría de Jiquilpan. Actualmente esporádicamente tiene agua y ya no se utiliza para beber, la fuente se surte de un tanque el cual se encuentra en el Parque Juárez, la Fuente del Zalate es una Obra realizada por el Artista en Escultura Federico Canessi entre el periodo de 1934-1940 periodo en el cual vivió en Jiquilpan, se pueden encontrar en diferentes puntos de Jiquilpan otras fuentes de su autoría, como lo son: los Gallitos en la Glorieta del Gallito, fuente las Palomas en la casa natal de Lázaro Cárdenas, La Aguadora en la Plaza Colon, Los Cantaritos en la esquina de las calles Aquiles Serdán y Av. Lázaro Cárdenas y la del CIIDIR. Sin lugar a dudas un lugar que tienes que visitar.
