P	Popurrí de Viajes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fueron muchas las construcciones que se dañaron por el sismo, deja una gran huella de lo terrible que fue, sin embargo una de las fuentes más antiguas de México quedó viva, la fuente de Tochimilco es parte del monasterio, una fuente construida también en el siglo XVI allá por el año de 1560, igualmente construida por indígenas con diseño de los franciscanos, como muchas construcciones de este tipo en nuestro país, muestra una mezcla de las culturas, europeas y americanas o mejor dicho indígenas, la fuente tiene 8 lados y en su punta un gran y hermoso escudo dividido en 4, con inscripciones en latín, esta fue una de las primeras fuentes que servía para dotar de agua potable a la gente y era conocida como la fuente de los sabores ya que cada salida tenía un sabor distinto y me comentaron que de este estilo de fuentes solo quedan dos en América Latina, la de Tochimilco y la de Chiapa de Corzo en Chiapas. However, there's been in increase in turism hence the town, Tochimilco, has done a better job. Lastly, for some strange reason, music is played every hour, for 24-hours though its sound system. I'm sure people find it fascinating during the day, but try to sleep through it when there's total silence.
