Historia
Surge FUNFAI nace hace más de 30 años cuando Margarita Maza y Sor Lourdes Turueño llegan en centros penitenciarios y descubren que ahí hay niños y niñas que nacen y viven en prisión. Que estos niños, además de estar en una situación de alta vulnerabilidad, son invisibles ante los ojos de la sociedad. Se funda FUNFAI como institución de asistencia privada en 1989, iniciando con su gran misión como Fundación Familiar Infantil I.A.P.
Después de 32 años, tenemos mucha experiencia, la cual se traduce en un modelo de intervención sólido y exitoso que ha logrado transformar la vida de más de 1500 niños, niñas y sus madres en situación de reclusión.

Agradezco que existan fundaciones así y que nosotros tengamos la oportunidad de poder aportar nuestro granito de arena por los pequeños.
A pretty good foundation, the work that your entire team does with the children is quite commendable, they provide the children with tools so that they can get ahead and do not grow stigmatized by mistakes outside of them. I am grateful that such foundations exist and that we have the opportunity to do our bit for the little ones.

Funfai does too important a job for and for Mexico, this sector of the population is the one that most needs our attention and it is a blessing that children have this opportunity of life, they have all the love and care they deserve, the place is beautiful and the work team makes sure that they can enjoy experiences that they had never thought of having in outings and activities. Mientras descargamos, me tocó ver a unos niños jugar, y acercarse a personal a su cuidado, quien les hablo con cariño, y los niños la abrazaban. Gracias por darles tanto amor. ?
We bring clothes to donate. When we arrived a van with children was leaving (I do not know their destination) but the children were super friendly and happy. While we unloaded, I had to see some children play, and approach staff in their care, who spoke to them with affection, and the children hugged her. Thank you for giving them so much love. ?
