F	Frederic Winsauer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a place, which deserves 110% the term hostel! The staff and volunteers were super friendly and welcomed me with an open heart and beer! ? Beds, bathrooms, the two kitchen and pool were perfectly clean!! Very big community area and a wonderful roof terrace makes it easy to get in touch with the other guests! Everywhere are stunning paintings and a safe place to park my motorcycle makes this place one of my overall favorite hostel! Everybody who likes to party and tell/listen to stories from all over the world should come to Mazatlan and stay at the Funky Monkey Hostel! ??

They rent kayaks/surf/skateboards and even have wood fired oven for famous pizza nights ? Super cool staff makes it a magical stay.

S	Shirina Ismail on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn't want to leave. From the time I got here, the service of the volunteers and the staff were brilliant. Made me feel really comfortable and at home. Pool and terraces were great. Had a bbq on the first night. That was fun. Felt like a little family.

Staff is always willing to help and give directions for going to places. The also made special events for gathering all the travelers and have fun. The place is clean and has a great terrace for chill and barbecue, and an amazing pool with cataratas! Definitely I will come back! Thanks to all!

I had a very late night arrival and they had someone greet me at the door past midnight! I highly recommend this locale. It’s close to downtown and it’s quite easy to Uber around. Also, the rooms have much needed AC and thank you for letting me use the washing machines! :)

Super social, very much a family vibe and amazing roof top for spending time alone as well as chilling with others. Hope to see you all again ✨??
t	tommy huizenga on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool surf hostel in one of the best city’s I have traveled. The owner and manager keep the place spotless and had activities planned almost every day. Awesome common areas on each floor. Private rooms were available, but plenty of space if you want to find your own privacy. The was a park connected out the back door next to the pool, and the pool was cleaned like three times a day. Had a sick pizza oven on the roof where we had a fun kick back one night we were there. If you want to meet some cool people instead of being alone on a hotel I suggest giving this hostel a shot.
