Gamma Mazatlán Centro Histórico - 82000 Mazatlán

Short version: even for a budget hotel, this place is aggressively mediocre. 3 stars is me being generous / trying to account for the fact that I haven't tried every budget hotel in Mexico. Also, this being attached to what is supposed to be a nice resort in the heart of the city (The Inn at Mazatlan) does not reflect well on either establishment. Long version: yikes, where to start. I visited here in 2016 and it was under construction. 2 years later, it's still under construction. It's clear upon staying here that they don't care about the experience of people that stay here. The windows are paper thin, there are no hooks in the bathroom, the room is barely bigger than the two double (full?) beds it holds, and somehow - in 2018 - hotel rooms are still being built with only a couple of electrical outlets. (!!!) In 2018... Anyway, the only way I'd willingly return is if this was the cheapest option by an order of magnitude and every place else was booked. Although if that were the case maybe I'd just stay home. Conclusion: don't let your grandmas buy timeshare time at either Inn. It's not worth the hassle.

This hotel is being fully renovated and still accepting guests. There were power drills, dust everywhere, and workers up and down all hallways. I understand that hotels need a facelift, but you may want to warn your customers. After two hours of discussion, I was told that I would get all money back for my reservation and I would see the refund within 7 days. Not only has that not happened, but no one returns emails and I was left in silence on the phone when I tried to follow up. I will be disputing the charges with my cc company.

Rooms are good and clean , great location (you feel very safe) 3 night stay and NO HOT WATER that sucked .

Very clean. Great service. Restaurant has a really good buffet with an awesome omelet/quesadilla station.

We stayed there for the weekend, Friday through Sunday. When we first got there we asked if we could have extra towels. There was 3 of us, and only 2 towels in the rooms. We were told no, only 1 towel per person. The worst part was someone from the hotel staff tried to break into our room, Saturday night. The “locks” on the door are no reliable. The only part that saved us, was the the top chain was on. When I got up about 4 am to use the restroom, the door was cracked open. I reported this to the main desk, and was not taken serious. We believe it’s a norm there. We will never return here.

It's said breakfast was included but it wasn't and it wasnt free, there's no laundry service within the hotel. The only good thing is that the ac works and that it's close to the beach.

Excellent location with wonderful service. Friendly, helpful staff, clean room, fantastic for the price. Our Spanish is limited but we were able to communicate enough to figure things out. They were happy to accommodate all of our requests. They said there would be bottled in the room and there wasn't, but they immediately got us some. It was a little different than staying at a hotel in the US, but understanding that we weren't in the US, we had a fantastic experience and plan to stay there again if we need a hotel in Mazatlan.
