WOW, Grand Hotel Monterrey (NL) Mexico lives up to the "Grand" name at great prices too. Walking into the Grand lobby, you are taken back to the golden age of buildings. The lobby is a great relaxing place to mill and mingle. Location: Centro, downtown, main mall, across the street from a very large public mall where you can walk to waterway and dining. The room is beautiful, large and has a small fridge too. Bathroom is modern and clean and shower water pressure is great too. I've become accustomed to large brand hotels having in person pricing 2 or 3 times higher than web pricing... Grand hotel walk up pricing was similar to internet (slightly higher) and included FREE breakfast buffet for 2 and FREE valet car parking. I recommend this hotel

Beautiful neoclassical architecture. Very clean and we'll kept, amazing polite staff. There is a starbucks inside and some jewelry stores. There is art everywhere, every detail is crafted. Pillows were comfortable, sheets clean and fluffy, 5/5 stars toilet paper quality was 4/5 stars. Bathroom towel quality 3/5 stars. This is definitely a place we will be staying at again. Love this place. Free parking, and the LOCATION IS PRIME! SO MANY RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. Mountain views from room as well.

It's a nice and beautiful hotel located in one of the best areas in Monterrey Mexico, the service is unique.

I really loved the outside of the building ever since I first saw it so I was excited to finally be staying 2 nights. The staff was very friendly and the lobby was very elegant. The first issue we encountered was the parking being across the street. We did not know that was the parking for the hotel because there were no signs. We found out the lot was not just for hotel guests but for the public in general. If you get your ticket stamped by the hotel then you don't have to pay. Also, there was a sign that said they were not responsible for any thefts or damages to your vehicle. One of the nights we came around midnight and no one was at the booth where they gave you a ticket so we parked there and the next day they did not ask for a ticket when we left. In the room, the sheets and pillows did seem clean, however things seemed a little unattended. The right window would not open and the curtains and windows were dirty. The chair in the room was also really old and squeaky.There was also a random flashing light at night when we turned off all the lights that we couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Overall it was okay, but I think because of the parking I would stay somewhere else where we would feel more at ease about leaving the car.

Positive: An architectural jewel, they have dedicated themselves to providing a quality service like few others, super comfortable beds, quality sheets, four pillows, a great shower, excellent food and the disposition and service of the staff unbeatable Negative: Nope

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE -Dirty rooms with mold on the curtains & torn bed linen -Very bad WiFi connection, even in their business center (it was impossible to work in the hotel) -Restaurant/room-service is VERY limited, and they don’t serve at 09.45 PM while it states to be open until 10.00 PM -No vegetarian options on the menu -Staff doesn’t speak English -Poor shower and the bath stop was missing -The area is not safe in the evening hours Outdated hotel with extremely bad service

It’s not the cleanest but it’s in a great location. The staff are great. Honestly it’s not worth the price. There are cheaper hotels in the vicinity. We found a roach in the room, hair in the shower, The rug wasn’t vacuumed. We asked the front desk to send someone to clean it but the person who came up to clean only made the bed.

This beautiful hotel is emblematic. It was built over 100 years ago and it keeps the elegance and glamour of the first days (as shown on their gallery and museum). Very well taken care of. Clean and safe. Friendly and efficient staff. 100% recommended.
