Came in with a lot of expectations and Garum mostly met all of them. The food is up there with Michelin-star restaurants I've dined at in the past. Very affordable, at ~75USD per person for a 5-course tasting menu. The dishes are all quite good but only one of them — lobster bisque -like concoction with chicharron and a fake corn that's actually... popcorn-infused butter? — made me feel like in heaven. Given the quality and attention to details in food, I was surprised that their cocktails didn't quite live up to the level. Not even a garnish, no interesting amaros or specialty cocktails, no advanced cocktail techniques. I think that's something they could work on. Otherwise, would gladly come back — the food, the impeccable service, the value, Garum has got it all.

Brilliant restaurant!! Harmony it's something that defines this place. Chef Vicente Torres tries to define his food and menu with extravagant flavours (using a lot of Indian species) but at same time making it harmonious. The foie gras (made like an elote) was superb, the artichoke and the fillet are amazing . The wine list is really good , please try a Mexican wine suggested by the sommelier.

It was recommended by a local friend who has a food blog (IG @itingood). The atmosphere is elegant, modern and sophisticated. Upon entering you already get the sensation this place is all about quality and attention to details. The cocktails are very good, excellent wine selection as well. Now about the food... amazing! From the creamy bacalao, to the foie gras with sweet wine and flowers, wagyu tartare all the way through to the steak with marrow and foie sauce. Everything was incredible. The service was outstanding. Will definitely be coming back on my next stop to CDMX.

Garum is a spectacular restaurant. The food is creatively prepared and very delicious. Our party ordered the beets and “fake ravioli” for starters.Loved them. We received a fresh loaf of black bread, right out of the oven. We ordered sole (stuffed with shrimp) and filet mignon with marrow. Everything was superb. Our dessert was something with lots of chocolate and hazelnuts. The price was reasonable for us, since we live in NYC. The food was the very best we have eaten in Mexico City, and the service was wonderful.

We found Garum through the Concierge at the Four Seasons, and where very pleased with our meal. The chef had a Michelin star at his previous restaurant in Spain.(When I asked him why he would leave that behind, he replied, "My wife is Mexican. Voila.) Spain's loss is Mexico City's gain. Located in one of Mexico City's tonier neighborhoods, the feel is very continental. There is a small bar area downstairs. A short climb via a circular staircase leads to a cozy dining area. Some of the seats give a view of kitchen, a very cool benefit. We chose the tasting menu along with accompanying wine pairings. It was outstanding.. Each course was perfectly presented and pleasing to both the eye and the pallet. I would add that the wine pairings enhanced the flavors of many of the courses. The chef came to the table and was charming. The staff was kind and polite and was obviously proud of the food. Their service was polished, and combined with the food, made for a perfect dining experience.

garum was absolutely spectacular. the presentation of the food is stunning, and everything, from the amuse bouche to the bread was creative and delicious. standout dishes for us were the “fake ravioli” — a composition of mushrooms is really the only way it can be described — and the gianduja dessert.

We have consumed so much salt we are now human pickles. I have never had so much salt in a meal in my life before, and I have done salt water cleanses before. Truffle mushrooms are nice, but not needed in ice-cream. Even as someone that enjoys having ice-cream and cheesecake for breakfast, the dessert was too sweet. All of the plating was very beautiful, but unfortunately I am eating with my mouth and not my eyes Update: threw up multiple times the next morning, and other incidences I will not mention in a food review. Called the restaurant for a refund and they pretended not to speak English and tried to blame OpenTable for billing
