***BEWARE*** This hotel has “Elite” or “VIP” members who get first access to all the chairs around the pool, reservations to all the restaurants, priority when it comes to ordering food and drinks. To be an elite member you have to book the penthouse suite or buy into a time share scam which the try to sell you the minute you speak with a concierge. I was waking up at 530am, on my vacation, to grab a chair by the pool for my family, only to be told that all the chairs are already taken. The beach is littered with seaweed and there is a bulldozer that is constantly running to clean up the mess. Otto, the hotel manager, either has no control over his employees or is perpetuating this problem at the expense of non-“elite” guests. Do yourself a favor, go to the other side of Cancun, the hotel zone. There are more hotels to choose from, its closer to the airport, cleaner picturesque beaches (the ones you see on postcards), and hopefully a much better staff. Worst experience ever.

There are hints of greatness with this resort, but many considerable problems that make it impossible to consider returning. Overall, the food has been very good by all-inclusive standards, definitely one of the best we've experienced so far. The resort is well laid out. There is a sister resort next door with additional restaurants and amenities, too. The pools are great. The water temperature is basically perfect, including in our small "swim out" suite - it's really a plunge pool, but more than adequate for our kids to play around in. There are no restrictions on towels, you can take as many as you need. The pool-side service is top-notch, and unlike many resorts, they'll serve food at your pool chairs. The way the resort is situated, nearly all of the pools are fully shaded towards the late afternoon, which, if you're sun-averse, is great! Being able to swim in the pool with zero sun yet perfect water temps was a truly unique experience we haven't encountered anywhere else. The staff have all been amazing. Very friendly, and willing to try and understand our concerns that I'll go over below. Now, we must talk about the negative. We stayed in the junior swim-up suite, which overall is perfectly adequate in most ways. However, there is no table to eat at, so it takes some creativity to enjoy room service. There is a tiny table out on the patio, but in their infinite wisdom, they felt the need to have a handle protruding from the top, which prevents the table from being able to have a dinner plate placed on it (lol). Our first room (4018) was incredibly loud. The noise was constant, high decibel and strong enough to shake the floors constantly. I didn't sleep at all on the first night. Upon bringing this to the attention of the staff, they didn't take it too seriously. We're still not 100% certain of the source of the noise, but we believe it is from large air intakes located between Bocados and room 4019. After much back-and-forth, they finally agreed to move us to a different room (4005). This change in rooms solved our issues. There were two nights of relative quiet, but on the fourth night, we encountered a new insanely loud noise emanating from room 4006 or one of the adjacent rooms a floor above us. The noise was a constant high pitched buzzing combined with what sounded like a rainforest shower blasting against our wall full blast. This noise went on continuously from 10 pm to 9 am. We asked maintenance to take a look, but they never did. They tried to come look in our room the morning after, but the noise had disappeared and wasn't originating from our room anyway. The noise briefly returned again on the 5th night, but fortunately only for an hour and then again on the 7th night for a few hours. The Kids Club hours are currently 9 am to 5 pm. For us, the benefit of a kids club is typically to provide an opportunity to go for an adult-only dinner, so closing at 5 pm doesn't make that possible. They also do not provide food or drinks for kids, so plan ahead. The pool experience is, in many ways, the best we've experienced anywhere. However, this likely won't be the case once the resort is completed and at capacity as there simply will not be enough shade or chairs. Also, there is little-to-no shade on the beach, so that isn't be a great spot for those who need or want shade. Finally, we have to talk about the cheque process. We were on the all-inclusive plan. This is the first resort we've ever stayed at where you are required to wait for the cheque, which has the full value of every item displayed. There were situations where we waited 20 minutes for a cheque before we were able to leave. It's not a nice process for the guest. To be fair, they do provide a second cheque with billable items, but this should be the only one ever presented. Unfortunately, the negatives considerably outweigh the positives. We've simply stayed at better resorts for a similar amount of money. This resort has the potential to be great, but I don't see how they'll get there.

Our entire stay at Garza Blanca was perfect. The entire resort is the definition of luxurious and the service is above and beyond. Every single person we encountered was helpful and kind. Our butler, Rene, went above and beyond any expectation. He was available via text and also found us at the pool each day to say hello and make sure everything was going well. He made dinner reservations, confirmed our airport shuttle and covid tests, escorted us to some of our dinners and to our test appointment, gave us a private tour of some of the gorgeous penthouse and oceanfront suites, and even surprised us with a bottle of sparkling wine and cake in our suite because he knew we were celebrating a belated honeymoon. He really made the stay feel comfortable and special. The restaurants were all excellent, as was room service. We had breakfast daily at Blanca Blue and it was never crowded. The food was delicious, particularly the French toast, smoked salmon bagel, and fresh juice. Our favorite restaurant for dinner was Hiroshi and we ate their twice. On our final night there the manager, Karla, and a chef, Jonathan, came to our table where Jonathan prepared one of the sushi rolls before our eyes. Our server both nights, Zuri, was great. He made wonderful recommendations and surprised us with a beautifully presented dessert. The pools are amazing! There is so much space and it’s all stunning. We got there between 9:00-10:00am and we had our pick of any section, chairs or cabanas. We were consistently so far away from any other guests. At some points, we were the only people at an entire pool. Servers start coming around at 11:00am and we were in Abraham’s sections two days in a row - he was the best! We never had an empty glass when he was around and he would make amazing recommendations or surprise us with fun options we hadn’t considered. The oceanfront area is beautiful and the food truck spot for lunch is great, too. The one bedroom suite was so nice. It’s a great amount of space. Having a separate living room, dining room, and an entire kitchen was really wonderful. There are outlets everywhere. The balcony having a table, couch, and hammock was delightful. Housekeeping was so thorough. Covid testing was at the sister hotel and it was about $40 for our two antigen tests. We made the appointment when we checked in and the test itself took just a few minutes. Results were emailed to us within the hour. Our airport shuttle was leaving the hotel at 4:00am and when we were leaving our suite just before, there was a luggage cart and staff member waiting to take our bags down to the lobby for us. At 4:00am, and we hadn’t even asked! I cannot say enough to emphasize how good the service was. All in all, we already can’t wait to go back to see the property 100% complete or to explore the adults-only resort being built next door that will open in 2023.

The hotel is really wonderful and the food is outstanding. The service is also high and you can enjoy wonderful holidays. The best cocktails ever can be found at the beach bar with the swings made by Adrien. He makes the greatest and most delicious cocktails within a short time!

Staff, service, food, everything was beyond amazing!! We spent our honeymoon here and were treated like royalty. We will be back soon! Definitely recommend all of the restaurants and all inclusive package if you like to drink a lot! We are not big drinkers and don’t eat a ton so we could’ve gone without but it was still great to be able to eat whenever! Staff is so friendly here! Be ready to tip heavy because they are all well deserving! ?

We just got back from a great week at Garza Blanca Cancun. My wife, son & his college roommate shared a 2-bedroom suite with a nice ocean view. Check in was easy and fast. The room was in brand new condition and had a super layout offering privacy and comfort. Patio space was great and we enjoyed the two hammocks for afternoon naps. Housekeepers were really reliable (we never saw them but room was cleaned and fridges restocked daily). Pools and pool service were the highlight of the trip. The pools are beautiful and well kept with plenty of seating. Antonio at the main pool was extremely helpful and professional in arranging our preferred seating and checking in often to make sure we were comfortable (or freshening towels). Guillermo & Paloma were super servers and kept us stocked with ice, waters, food & drink throughout the day. At the rooftop pool/bar (adults only) Ricardo took great care to make sure we had plenty of shade and were very comfortable. Irving our server exceeded our expectations. Restaurants were top notch and we enjoyed them all in our 5 night visit. Ariel our butler was very helpful in getting dinner reservations at our preferred time (I made a mistake not making reservations prior to trip and the restaurants fill up fast, particularly at specific times). Our favorite was Hiroshi where we went with our waiter Gustavo’s recommendations - he was awesome! Beach was OK. Resort did a good job on having beach chairs and food/drink available at beach but the location has a lot of seaweed and the sand was pretty rocky (made for dangerous volleyball). Views of ocean/waves/beach from pools were great so this didn’t bother us. Ariel/butler was great in checking in with us to make sure all was well throughout the week and also to make sure we had our departure (covid testing, transportation) all in place to make for a smooth check out and trip home. My family has enjoyed spring break in Cancun and Jamaica 6 or 7 times, all at different resorts, over the last decade and this was one our favorite places. The boys wished for more nightlife but they didn’t need it after spending all day in the sun with several “open bars” to choose from. With that said, this resort is probably best at serving families with younger kids and adult couples. Great job to the team at Garza Blanca, thanks for a fantastic vacation!

We spent 5 nights (3/30-4/4) at Garza Blanca for our honeymoon, 5 stars all around!! The hospitality and service was exceptional. The staff is very friendly and eager to make your stay a great one. The fitness center is very nice and overlooks the lush green landscape in front of resort, we used it every day. Pool areas are beautiful with plenty of loungers. The rooftop pool & bar area is awesome and for adults only. We added the all inclusive package to our stay, absolutely worth it. We weren't expecting the food to be great but it definitely exceeded our expectations! Overall, highly recommend!
