★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oswaldo was an excellent guide. We hiked to Rio Palomaria and to the waterfall. This is an advanced hike for less experienced hikers. For more experienced, this will be easy. We were able to spend 15 minutes in the water at the base of the waterfall. Just over 2 hours. Beautiful views of the ocean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun hike with moderate effort required. Tito was great. Very knowledgeable about the vegetation and terrain. Must do if you are tired of laying out by the pool and sipping on margaritas

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They don't let you in where the map shows because it's a private hotel, garza blanca residences. You can go to the waterfall a few hundred meters back at either side of the river. You should Google the cascada palo Maria

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hike is beautiful and the views are amazing! All kinds of different animals and creatures. From cool birds to little River snakes. It only takes about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the first waterfall of Palo Maria. The only thing that I did not like was the fact that I could see all the pipes the resorts, hotels and condominiums around the area had sucking all the water from the waterfalls. And the ares were they throw there water waste was very visible. Over all the trip there is lots of fun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun hike through the jungle. The trail is not marked well, but all you do is follow the River up until you hit the waterfall. Lots of scrambling around boulders and crossing the river. Water shoes and big spray recommended. The whole trail was 1.4 miles round trip and took us about an hour and 15 minutes.
