Worse gas station to go to. Got scammed with the conversion from dollars to pesos and the attendant had us forget we gave him a $20 before hand. He saw we were flustered from just flying in, getting our rental car, a new place and unfortunately took advantage of that. I hope these reviews do some tourists good and they don’t come here like we did :/

Robbed at gas pump! The bill was for 790 pesos. I handed the attendant my credit card. He came back with a receipt saying the card was declined. To avoid any more issues and get out of there I handed him two 500 peso bills. Moments later he returned with a 500, a 50, and a confused look acting like we didn't pay him enough. In a rush I handed him another 200 pesos. He then quickly walked away avoided eye contact with me and was clearly hoping I would drive off. Finally I yelled for him to come back and asked what the deal was, he just continued to look puzzled at my objection. I said "we just gave you 1200 pesos for a 800 peso bill" he disappointedly walked back to his stand grabbed a 500 and brought it back. Confused I took the 500 and turned my car on then drove away The issue here was not that he took money from us (though he clearly tried), in fact in retrospect we underpaid for the gas. However he never gave the card back and in my confusion I drove off frustratedly. Hours later when we had arrived at our hotel is when it finally hit me that he never gave the card back. I immediately called my bank only to find out that a charge for $189 US had been charged on the card already, while I was on the phone with my bank clearing this up the rep told me that 3 more charges had been made to the card while I was on the phone with him for around $200. In total this guy stole my card and within 2 hours spent a bit over $400 on it. Long story short is this guy scammed me and from the sheer number of bad reviews it seems that the gas station is training these attendants to do these kinds of things. PLEASE don't make the mistake of going here. Obviously there is no oversight going on and you will likely lose money one way or another.

Scam alert. They are targeting the tourists refueling the rental cars before returning them. People are heading to the airport and have no time for a conflict. 1. They first claim that credit cards are not accepted. 2. When given cash they try to convince you you have them 50 pesos while you gave 500. Communicating in a terrible "my friend" style. Very arrogant. I wasn't scammed because I knew precisely how much pesos I had in my pocket.

They did the 500 pesos switch and pretended i gave them a 50. I was stupid enough to not have any proof that I had actually gave them the 500 and had to loose that money. PLEASE dont go to this gas station.

Don’t use this gas station!!! Claimed that credit cards were not accepted, the exchange rate is 18 to 1, and finally swapped 10 dollars to 1 dollar and asked to pay extra. They don’t give a receipt.

We got scammed here too. He swapped my 500 pesos for 20 pesos. I argued with him but he just said “No” and walked to the next car.

Another nice try for a scam: The guy shows you that the pump counter is reset to 0, then puts himself between the pump and you to block the view. Also they covered the pump with a plastic curtain to make it harder to see. I had another person with me in the car that kept staring at the counter to make sure they didn't pull the trick. The guy noticed and was a bit annoyed. No extra cash from us, sorry. Also, before telling us the price he consulted with the boss, who just said "No". Probably asking if he should try the famous 500/50 bill switch? Just remember to get out of the car, put yourself in a position where you can the see the counter, and keep looking at it. Pay with bills, tell them the value of each while handing them, make eye contact, leave.

PLEASEEEE Read all the reviews on this and other gas stations before pumping gas. We got scammed in the exact same way that everyone is saying. We paid 1000 pesos and turned away for a quick a second and the gas attendant was holding up a 20 peso bill saying we gave the wrong amount. We were so confused that we ended up paying the gas bill again and realized what happened only as we drove away and read the rest of the reviews after getting back to our hotel. Just like everyone else says on the reviews, make eye contact, and verbally confirm and count your money out loud so the attendant doesn’t try and switch things on you. Really wish we would have read any review on any gas station before going so we could be more aware.
