Our ocean front/view room looked directly at a wall! We had bugs in our room, lost power one night, did not have consistent turn down service, garbage was left in room, butler service was poor, received no assistance from management, no towels in room one night, had to pay for covid test for return to USA (previously a free test), food was fair at best. Very disappointed with the resort and Karissma and Exotic as a whole! Our beach butler, Erbie, was phenomenal! Friendly and on top of his game! As a family friendly resort there were so few meal options it was sad. Dinner reservations were poorly handled with total disregard for ages of children. Who feeds a 2 year old at 9pm? Will NOT be returning!!

Let me start by saying that everyone there is working really hard. The property is clean and we constantly saw people washing windows, power washing the walkways, gardening, etc. The restaurant staffs were really hard working as well. I have only one complaint. The food was good (along all inclusive standards), but when dinner time came the availability was interesting. There are currently 3 restaurants open for dinner (room service closes at 6 pm for some reason...low season?). We were told that you had to make reservations in one but not the other two. This is not true. When we showed up at the other two, they immediately asked us if we had a reservation and made us feel like they were squeezing us in. One night when we arrived back to the resort late, we almost couldn't find dinner. They eventually ended up getting us a table at the Wine Kitchen (the one that supposedly needed reservations). Then on Tuesday we were told it was Mexican night and that the restaurants weren't taking reservations. The concept was an outdoor buffet and show for everyone that started at 6:30. We got down there at 6:15 and were told that all the tables were taken. The manager eventually (again) squeezed us in after I just about started to cry from frustration. There was a gentlemen on the line behind us who said he was Diamond Elite and they were having trouble finding him a table. Again, not the staff's fault. Maybe room service just needs to stay open later, or they need to have somewhere you can grab a sandwich. The pressure of dinner got to me by the end of our 5 night stay. Breakfast and lunch were no problem. All in all a nice stay with the exception of dinner. If you stay here my recommendation would be to make reservations. Also, right now the hotel has a lab coming in the give Covid tests. The test will most likely be scheduled a day or two before you leave. The lab is ONLY there from 11-noon...so don't miss your test.

This place is a classic "Bait and Switch." We paid for one thing and we got something very different. We feel as if we've been robbed of a vacation. 18 members of my family booked this trip 9 months ago. We paid thousands of dollars. We had a hold on 4 suites with deluxe ocean views, 2 bedrooms and swim-out balconies. When we arrived the front desk acted like they didn't know we were coming and the manager had given our rooms away. Instead of fulfilling our needs, they sent us to a neighboring hotel built for little children-- all our kids are teenagers. The front desk of this place ruined our Christmas vacation. The manager never met with us to offer any explanation or advice. He was nowhere to be found. Don't book a trip here. Its a scam.. They can't be trusted. Below you will read a response from the owner. It's all a lie. Lies, lies, and more lies.. buyers beware.

Great 4 day stay! By day 2 we were already regretting not staying longer. Our Butlers April and Israel were the best. They checked on us constantly to see if we needed anything. The food was great every meal we had we thoroughly enjoyed. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay.

This previously wonderful hotel has turned into a wedding venue with no consideration given for the comfort or peace and quiet of other paying guests. Many individual members of staff are trying hard but the corporate disregard for "ordinary" holiday makers is breath taking. Given that the nightly rate here is about $400 I do feel that I deserve to be treated more respectfully. Our room has a balcony with a wonderful sea view. Unfortunately we can't sit out there for the noise, I did take a video but haven't yet worked out how to add it to this review. I came inside behind the double glazing to get away from the noise. It is not enough, I am still sharing with the wedding party: like it or not. I don't! BTW, if you are thinking of bringing young kids here and want to get them to sleep....... Good luck!

This was our first time ever going and staying in a resort. My wife and I had a lot of fun. We came here for her friend's wedding. The place was super big and has many good restaurants to eat from and the food was very delicious. The resort was big that you need a golf cart to get around to the other areas of the hotel. The resort has three different sections. Also it has a chapel for a wedding. There are many activities to do as well so I think it will be hard to get bored. If we could stay in this place forever we would. The place is super relaxing and the staffs are super nice. My wife and I plan to go back to this place again.

The food at this resort is amazing. The service is pretty good although it feels like they are understaffed. The beach area needs work. Lots of seaweed and looks like there is a big rock along the shoreline so it's very difficult to go past 10 feet. The pool area is nice. Rooms need to be updated. Overall a pleasant experience.

WARNING We saved for over a year to have a family vacation, the resort cast over $14,000 for 3 rooms. We booked a year in advance and paid extra to have all our rooms have oven swim up access. It was going to be a once and a life time trip. We booked directly with the hotel and were promised a vacation to remember. I guess we got what they promised, we just didn’t know it would be a nightmare. Once we arrived at we were told they didn’t have rooms available and we had to wait for them to find rooms. The swim up rooms we spent a year saving up for, well they over booked so we had to “take what was available”. But hey we shouldn’t complain, because they were giving us a $300 spa credit for our 14k worth of rooms. When we thought things couldn’t get worse, they did. Not only did they not have our rooms we paid in advance for. The rooms they were able to find were not even remotely close to each other. Take it or leave it was what we were ultimately told. Our beautiful vacation we spent a year dreaming about was destroyed. We felt the hotel could have cared less about our family, they basically had opinion we got your money already who cares. Be thankful we even gave you a room and they made up for it by giving you a $300 spa credit to spend at an all exclusive resort. Please I beg you, don’t let them ruin your vacation like they did ours. Don’t be fooled by the fancy pictures online, when you arrive they will shove you in any room they can find, because they know you already paid in advance and know you have no other option.
