Very bad service. Rep spoke good English Then brought car back a day early. All over a sudden no English and no refund Be aware when you rent that if you bring back car early no refund...we recommend that you go somewhere else

Just a heads up. My experience with the company seemed very smooth and affordable until they charged us for some previous damage to the car from a previous rental. The issue was a small clip holding a ledge of the front plastic bumper smooth against the car had snapped off so the bumper pushes out of place. The car was in perfect (as in no new damage since we rented the car) condition when we left our hotel three minutes away from the rental place, but when we arrived part of the bumper apparently bumped out of place. This damage can be easily hidden by thumping the side of the car, pushing the bumper back in place, which we wish we did before turning the car in. I requested to see previous car reports on the same rental and saw that the previous week there was no damage noted to the car but, two weeks before the front left bumper had reported damage. I am disappointed to say that I suspect this is a way the rental company collects bonuses, by charging for quick little fixes that are easily disguised, and unpredictable to the renter who isn't familiar with the car. I imagine we weren't the first to pay to "fix" this damage. Good luck with your rental, hopefully this never happens again.

Made a reservation months ago and the day I supposed to pick up my car they ran out of inventory. The worst thing is they didn't try to help to find a solution, just "well, no car, sorry, bye".

Highly recommend. We were very nervous about renting a car in Cancun because of all the bad reviews about many rental companies but these guys were amazing. They gave us a very good rate, other companies quoted us at least double. We asked to be picked up from our hotel, they were there exactly on time with our car, all papers ready to go. In under 10 minutes we were inside a very clean and air conditioned car. We had the car for 4 days and did a lot of driving without any issues. They were nice enough to extend our reservation by 2 hours without an extra charge. They came to our hotel to pick up the car, were exactly on time. Once again in under 10 minutes we were done. Do not hesitate these guys are the best!

I’m very disappointed! I did a booking to get the vehicle for two days and everything was confirmed. I’m staying at the hotel with a company store. Today I call them to know where I will get my vehicle and the guy told me isn’t car for my confirmed and paid booking. Simple like that, change your vacations plans because you don’t have a car. No calls , no email, no messages to our room, nothing!! If I not called to them today I will only know tomorrow at the time to picking up the car.

Easy and affordable car rental in Puerto Morelos! 35 bucks gets you a new car for the day. The customer service is excellent and very easy to work with. Highly recommend. Make sure to bring your Credit Card:)

Do not rent a car from this place!!! You're better off walking. I rented a car from ANTONIO FERRAEZ at their rental desk in the El Cid Hotel and Marina lobby. I purchased full insurance coverage and returned the car in great condition. 5 DAYS LATER, ANTONIO sends me a WhatsApp message alleging I caused damage to the rear bumper. He only sent the inspection form as evidence - NO PICTURES!!! This place is a scam. ANTONIO FERRAEZ is a wannabe scammer. I'm not sure if all their employees do this but this guy did. KEEP ALL YOUR DOCUMENTATION AND TAKE PICTURES WHEN YOU DROP OFF. I'm not the only reviewer reporting fraudulent charges. El Cid needs to vet their hospitality partners better. ***UPDATE*** After leaving negative reviews on Google and Facebook, Anselmo Villalon reached out to me and refunded the additional charges to my credit card.

The most horrible customer experience I have ever faced. And I rent cars pretty much every country I visit. I rented at the Hotel Marina El Cid location. Please book with other companies. There are a lot more around the area. They are super unprofessional and act to call the “boss” that never assists.
