★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went for wonderful traditional ex-pat Easter dinner at Ginger's Jungle tonight. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Beyond the wonderful dining environment that they have created, Tracy's selfless efforts with the dog rescue; while providing full time work to the local community, needs to be supported..
I will be return.... ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ginger's Jungle Rescue Restaurant is THE PLACE to enjoy a light lunch and a cold beer, and the best thing happening in Progreso for human's best friends, dogs. Ginger has put together a team to rescue stray dogs, get them healthy, groom them and find a nice place for them, mostly in Canada. My admiration and gratitud to the team that makes this possible: Ginger, Richard, Pamela, Tracy, David and to the countless friends that help with much needed donations and love.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and the dog rescue does excellent work in taking care of the street dog population in Progreso. They have plans to build a permanent clinic and the day that I visited was the first spay/neuter clinic for the street dogs. It was a bonus to have tasty food while supporting a good cause. The juice was also delicious.
