M	Miguel Juárez López on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The black truffle tlayuda is to die for. Service is top notch, they upgrade our table upon request plus gave us complimentary drinks. Luis Angel our server was indeed an Angel.
P	Pearl Snead on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was personally not happy with my experience at Gitano Tulum. First off, the service was terrible when we went. They sat us in the back corner and neglected us. It was tough to get a server and when my boyfriend ordered a beer it never arrived. When we complained about never receiving the beer they gave us cheesecake and it tasted like cardboard. Actually the worst cheesecake I have ever tasted in my life. We got two mezcal drinks that were tasty & the lobster tostada was good. My boyfriend got a $50 steak and it was awful. I've heard it's fun at night to party at but I would recommend going ANYWHERE else for dinner.

They create this magical atmosphere with steam in a traditional prehispánica way all around the place. The staff is very friendly and provide a good service. Perfect location and with security at the entrance We like that a lot.

S	Sherry Maleki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service however, they have a minimum 4% credit card fee, (ludicrous)!! Lol - we were charged $600 for a $36 bottle of mezcal, (absolutely ludicrous)! Tulum is overrated!! Venues like this make the experience unforgettable and a place never to visit AGAIN! Believe it or NOT I spent way less traveling through south of FRANCE, ITALY, MONACO and most of EUROPE!!!
N	Nicola Mossa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ambience was pleasant and food was quite good even if overpriced. I found two unpleasant and annoying issues. First of all the claim of a 15% (minumum) - 20% of tips not very elegantly done, with the waitress putting pressure standing next to our table waiting to collect the payment and pushing for a 20% tips. Tips must be suggested not claimed as if it should be mandatory. Second and final issue, those two guys selling drugs before the entrance of the bathroom really break down the whole image of the place, it make it very decadent. I understand cartels pressure in Tulum might be hard and i can imagine this is a "necessary evil"but i suppose it could be done more discreetly.

I came here for my birthday and he made it really nice and special while also recommending which dishes to choose. I liked to practice my spanish with him as well. Atmosphere is beautiful and the music is great. The food was ALL so good. Highly recommend the jungle fever cocktail! It is pretty pricey, so be mindful of the $20 cocktails and cc fee. If it's your birthday you get a fun sparkler which was pretty cute. Would come back for sure!
C	Cizzorz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ MILTON IS THE BEST SERVER!! He helped make our anniversary dinner AMAZING The atmosphere at Gitanos is amazing! Upbeat and very fun. The food was excellent. Our server Milton was the nicest most respectful person ever! Went for our anniversary and he was so welcoming and fun! Would highly recommend This restaurant and would love to go back and have Milton as our server!!!
