Gombos Pizza - 37700 San Miguel de Allende

We came three times for the low key atmosphere and good food! They make a great martini!

I order a sausage and onion pizza, ready to enjoy a good cheese and tomatoes base pizza. I got was this sad pizza dough loaded with hot dogs.no salsa hitomate.no flavor for the money I could've got bread at the bakery.Sad I do have to say that the atmosphere was great and service decent. So make sure you know what you're ordering

The garlic mushrooms were not what I expected ted but they were very delicious!!! The staff was grate, very helpful . The atmosphere was good.

Absolutely splendid food, easily matched some of the more fancy places with a very pleasant atmosphere and some very reasonable prices.

Waited at the front entrance for 5 minutes, and then eventually sat myself. Took 10 minutes for them to see me and bring a menu. The bar looks very fancy, and the cocktails look great, but the pizza was extremely disappointing. I ordered a Margherita pizza and was brought a pizza with no tomato sauce, barely any cheese, mushrooms, ham, green/red bell pepper, and onion?? Definitely not a Margherita pizza. Dough was very bad, and definitely not fresh. For the price I expected way more. Tasted more like a flatbread than a pizza. I would have sent it back, but I was short on time. (The table next to me sent theirs back.) I had to flag down the server to pay, and he brought me my bill and then went back to the kitchen for another 10 minutes. I had to ask the bartender to get his attention because I was in a hurry. Told him I would only tip 5% and he said that wasn't an option and added himself a 15% tip?? Very disappointed. Would be a nice spot for cocktails (hence the 2 star rating instead of 1) but only if you're not in a hurry! And stay away from the pizza!!

I only sat at the bar and had some drinks. Antonio was very knowledgeable on the spirits of the region, and of course made delicious drinks.

Gombos is a great spot if everyone in your group wants something different. The service is excellent, and the food quality is great. I just don't know what is exceptional, because the menu is so diverse. I will definitely go back (on one of those divisive and indecisive nights). However, Gombos feels like that ma and pa shop that's trying to compete with an international chain.

The service and staff was so very attentive and the food, although we just had appetizers, was spectacular. I will definitely go again on my next trip to SMA.
