★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really freaking good gorditas, I didn’t even think I liked gorditas til I got these. The family running the stand is super welcoming and patient with stumbling spanish, but the gorditas themselves are amazing, super HEFTY and filling, flavorful, fresh and hot, muy rico.
I ordered a pollo Gordita and a bistec Gordita for a friend; they also have chicharrones, chorizo, and some other options. Loved the papas and dusting of queso, nopales pico de Gallo was fantastic, light touch on the salsa verde was the perfect kick. Looks like they get plenty of turnover from locals, but service is quick.
