★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great archeological place to visit. Just beware of merchandise and drinking water prices they can be as high as the priramids themselves!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First the negatives- weirdly, we were asked if anybody had a GoPro or other video camera because there was a special “video fee”. Never mind we can use our phones to record video. It is now 2020 guys. The entrance fee seemed high compared to the quantity and quality of explanatory signs. Our tour guide, Jose, was brilliant, but ppl without somebody like him are not going to gain much from this place.
So for a structure built about 1000 yrs ago, with ONLY stone and wood tools, you gotta admire the Mayan builders. We are allowed to climb to the mid level of this structure, which is truly amazing (safety concerns) but well worth it. Please go up, enjoy the view and explore the rooms on top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a masterpiece of Maya architecture. With the subtle balance of the composition, the large spans of the corbelled vaults, the incredible mosaic roof that spans the entire length of the building it is an absolute must see at Uxmal and really a tour de force of all Mayan architecture. The platform can be scaled and the rooms can be entered. The south side of the platform is currently being restored which will bring this magnificent building to a condition near to what it was during its glory days over 1200 years ago.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such an epic experience. Plan to spend a whole day here at the Choco Museo and all the Cenotes around you. Entry was 450 pesos when I went.
