★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Several locals recommended this place. Unfortunately the food was not great. We had one of each Panucho. The only one I liked was the dog fish, and I love Panuchos and have had great ones in Merida and other places. The scrambled eggs were not very good, and the beans were literally ice cold like they had taken them out of the refrigerator. My wife’s molletes were not good either. The server was okay, but I had to get up to get my check. Another server had to help us on one occasion and it wasn’t very busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried the coffee (el lechero) and loved it so much that I ordered a refill. Ordered the torta parroquia, very good but could only eat half. They had a group of guys playing music which made the atmosphere that much more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend visiting!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe it could be 4 stars. But people got my hopes up, saying this place has great coffee drinks. Tastes like Nescafe to me. I asked husband to order me an iced latte, basically (wishing I could order a caramel latte, but they don't have flavors here). He could have asked for it wrong though, since I received something BLENDED with ice instead. Basically a milky coffee blended with ice. Somewhat sweet. It wasn't DISTASTEFUL, mind you, just nothing outstanding. Good thing I didn't come on a busy day, where usually people wait an hr to get in. We also ordered food. My husband loved his Milanesa (chicken) and my chorizo con huevos was simply ok. Not bad, not great. The prices were reasonable. The bathrooms smelly, and water in the bathroom doesn't always work, apparently. This place doesn't live up to the hype. Kids loved their hotcakes. We went to the one at Independencia 1187, Centro Historico 91700 Veracruz, Ver. But I cannot seem to get the exact review spot for this location.
