★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in to see the ceiling and it is amazing, total hidden gem. Right next to all the historic buildings so pop by and see this. The entrance is on the south side with a door man. I was able to enter no problem but there is a sign that you cannot go to the upper floors unless you have a room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Gran Hotel at Mexico City has surely seen better days. The glass roof is indeed impressive but the restaurant is very disappointing. Yes, it has a nice view overlooking the Zocalo but the food is well below average.
The rooms are very, very noisy, probably coming from the air conditioning on the roof and you can hear all sort of noises from the nearby room.
A bit overpriced for what it can offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best hotel experience ever! We got one of the larger suites with a living room. It came with electronic blackout curtains, scented toilet paper, and the best service I've ever had! From the receptionist to the bellhop and room service, every single person takes pride in their job to make sure you have the best customer experience possible. I recommend splurging on a room that overlooks the plaza. Can't beat the location!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning! My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four days as part of honeymoon trip around Central America. This hotel in genuinely the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. We had a street view room with a balcony which still had a great view and you could hear the street musicians from our room. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, Victor was a highlight!
We did not book any tours or have breakfast at the hotel, however we had some laundry done which was completed to a excellent standard.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in CDMX, as it is very well located for exploring the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have just tried to visit this hotel for a cocktail on the advice of a very good friend. I try to take in the best bars in cities I travel to. The guard on the door was incredibly rude and said there is not a bar just a restaurant. It’s such a shame I can’t feedback a positive experience to my good friend. The instant judgment was also quite astonishing and not what I expect of 5 star hotels I visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel. Friendly staff and beautiful rooms. There is always someone at the front door to screen people coming in. Help with your bags is immediate and after check-in you are handed a glass of sparkling wine before taking a ride in the historic elevators to your room. These are everything you've seen on old buildings, but working and safe. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the Zocalo in our case. A large sunscreen blocks all light at the touch of a button. Shower pressure and temperature was great and there's a display of apples and bottled water available at all times in the corridor. I highly recommend this hotel!
