Gran Lumière - 97000 Mérida

What a great experience! We randomly entered this restaurant to drink a beer with a snack. But ultimately stayed for dinner, because the food was just so delicious and the friendly staff very welcoming. But the very friendly staff was not the reason to stay. The food was just amazing; fresh, tasty and this dishes had a surprising twist. It has it all. We went for the boneless chicken with Bufallo sauce and after this, the Rib-eye. The bread was great as well! About the chicken; the sauce was (for us) just on the right level of spiciness and finger-licking good. About the Rib-Eye; perfectly rare (maybe just a hint to salty) and on the side a very complimentary pepper sauce. Normally, we never eat our steak with sauce, because it has so much flavor on it’s own. But this was just too good. So all in all; a great 5 star rating. Literally all the food was good ánd the staf made us feel comfortable. Please come to this amazing restaurant, they deserve it!

Amazing food!!! The whole expirience from start to finish is great, Daniel Is great server and always very friendly and kind. The food can’t get better!! And the chef Rodrigo Ugartechea Is so friendly with the guest and always takes care to offer the best quality! Highly recommended this place

Wonderful dining experience! Attentive staff, good wine, fantastic salads, unique and delicious entrees, cozy atmosphere! Best meal in Merida ever and I have visited this wonderful city since 1976! Kudos to Chef for opening this fabulous restaurant in Merida! Thank you Antonio, owner of Casa Benito artesanía, for pointing the way!!

Excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner in a quiet courtyard. I went there for breakfast every morning during my stay in Merida. There is a lot of choice and the food is fresh and of good quality. On Saturday evenings there is live music. I recommend it! Pancakes on the picture.

Beautiful courtyard away from the street noise and the food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Would recommend the salmon, chicken skewers, shrimp burger, and brownie. Been here twice already.

I will add more stars if there was possibility. This is one of those places that make you come back after you try for the first time. Highly recommended ?

Currently in 1st position for my favorite restaurant in Merida! I’ve been four times and every time the food has been delicious and the service great! Great location, beautiful building. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

As we travel with our small dog, we were attracted by the pet friendly note on the sidewalk sign outside of Gran Lumiere. We stopped in on a Saturday evening for drinks and dinner and I'm so glad we did. We were so warmly welcomed and looked after by every single staff member...manager, waiter, bartender, chef - everyone was so friendly! We were really grateful to see vegan and vegetarian options on the menu and the food ended up being some of the best we've had in our 10 days in the city! We loved the relaxed vibe and the beautiful live acoustic music was the cherry on top. This would definitely be a regular stop for us if we lived in the city full time. Highly recommend! Especially if you like to dine with your furry companion in tow. :)
