My favorite luxury resort. I was not made to feel captive. You can move freely from the resort to Barra de Navidad and Melaque small towns accessible by boat taxi or your own transportation by road.

The hotel is old and dirty. Most things in the room are broken or dirty. This hotel should not be featured by on-line booking services. Not enough chairs or towels at the pool area. Expensive and many kids screaming around the pool

We were on our boat in their marina. We had an excellent filet mignon dinner and the breakfast buffet was huge ($25/ person was a little too much, though). We had full access to all if the amenities the hotel has to offer. Great pools with swim up bar and waitstaff delivering drinks poolside. The showers didn't drain and the water was everywhere. Some of the toilets did not have toilet seats. Some if the showers only had lukewarm water. There were dead fish in sine of the slips which really fouled the air. Some if the cleats on the docks were loose or missing entirely.

Stunning and grand hotel with lots of places to explore. Amazing pools, free yoga & tons of activities offered. Three restaurants on site with some of the best food around. The breakfast chiliquiles was my go-to and the service everywhere is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Lots of people to meet with marina on site and boaters coming through. It’s an easy & cheap water taxi ride to town. I’d recommend taking the less expensive and shorter ride to Barra then the water taxi. What a cool way to arrive. Hikes around the property with sunset views and they’ll give you a ride to secret beach. Going to put this one on my list for every Mexico visit.

Did not stay overnight but spent 2 hours exploring this ironic hotel which is opulent in design and architecture beautiful landscape and every thing a tourist would need including the million dollar boats its situated on it's own island which is a 3 minute panga ride from Barra staying there can seem like you are in paradise but if staying there for any length of time bring many pesos.

Me and my wife rented a king deluxe room. The fist night we showed up they oversold and put me and my new wife in a room with two double beds.we both had un pleasant sleeps and wound up sleeping in different beds. The next day I talked to the manager and he apologized and immediately changed our room.He put us on the top floor with rooftop pool and ocean view and gave us a free nights stay.the service was great.the staff are excellent.i would recommend this place to anybody.Bathrooms need updating.showers and tubs have staining due to years of hard water but still clean.all and all a great stay.

This place was very beautiful and you could take a ferry over to the main city for attractions. The staff was top notch. The only negative thing that we found about this place is that the restaurant closes fairly early. And if you want even just a bottled water they charge you an exorbitant amount for delivery to your room. We tried to go down and just get the bottled water ourselves and they said that wasn't possible we had to pay the extra charges. Also after a certain time at night you can't even get through to room service it was nothing but a busy signal. So although I would recommend going and seeing it at least once it's not a place that we would be visiting again.

Honest Review, Day 1 and it's been challenging for them to provide a good service. Room was not ready, they made is wait two hours, they never called to notify, they didn't find our all inclusive plan and wanted to give is bed and breakfast, they gave us a two bedroom room for me and my wife. When I asked to talk to a manager not only they didn't do it, they (Cesar at front desk) argued back. Definitely not on par with the value. Extremely outdated facilities in desperate need of maintenance. We went for lunch while we waited for our room and service was very slow but food is very good if ordered by menu (not buffet). Final review (Day 2 and after): Although property needs maintenance we really enjoyed our stay and it was worth it. The pool is very relaxing and has a great service. Breakfast and dinners are extremely good. Front desk made up for their flaw and gave us a complimentary late checkout. The rest of the staff (except front desk) is very service orientated. Because of this I am giving it 3 stars instead of my initial 1 star.
