★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not really Grand...OMG-my body •HURTS• from laying on what's made to be under a mattress, a boxspring!!!! This is the foundation for a nice soft mattress not for sleeping on. I even tried using the blanket & pillows to be over this torture bed. After awhile I could feel each wire spring in my pain filled body. DON'T STAY HERE IF YOUR BODY NEEDS SOFT & SLEEP!!!
The room is clean. The decor is very old with the big box tv. Maybe one english speaking station. Wall unit air cooled the room well, very important in the summer to have a good A/C unit. Floors etc were clean, sheets & towels are very old, small holes, stained but clean. Wifi free & working. So important if you want to use your mobile devices but no phone in room to call desk to ask questions. I climbed many steps to my room not going up & down a lot. The grounds seemed nice & clean attractive to look at with a family pool. The lagoon is right behind the facility. Don't get close to look it smells like a swamp. LOL Did see & visit with a few iguanas on the dock, made my day. Caution about crocodiles by the lagoon also :O. No restaurant as says in amenities. Because sleep is so important, I wouldn't recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Calm and quiet little hotel on the lagoon. The room was smallish but clean, and well cared for my the maid. The best were the three large iguanas sunning themselves on the lagoon side

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented this place think I may be able to save some money for the extra days we stayed in Cancun since we didn't had a reservation. But we paid the same than a 2 bedroom penthouse with ocean view in front of the Beach true AirB&B. You can find something nicer if you look in advance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptional value. Good rooms with great view. Linen and towles could be cleaner. WiFi is super slow and spotty. Big thumbs up if you have an individual data plan that works in Mexico. Unfortunately on the last day it rained overnight. Outside and inside the room (roof leaked). Bed and floor (including shoes) were soaked. :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really enjoyed our stay here.
Rooms are basic and comfortable, cleaned very well daily with fresh bedding/towels. Always a clever towel animal waiting after cleaner (Cindy muchos gracias :).
Please tip 10 to 20 pesos per day to those maids. It's a custom and it's a wage dependent on this. If you don't its as rude as not observing a que in the UK.
Research tip culture and the Mexicans show you much gratitude for what amounts to nothing much here.
The hotel was a 15 min walk from Tortuga beach (calm lagoons much nicer than the wavey beaches on other side of cancun) if you got flags on your beach get directions to to paradise not far at all from you.
Nice and quiet at night, air con worked well.
Breakfast included fruit and toast, very pleasant. More food was on offer but we were out all day so did not try.
Swam at night in nice well maintained pool which was very enjoyable.
Not the hottest pool but I only used it at night. Refreshing on burnt skin.
Forgot to get a safe key untill 3rd night, left Dosh etc exposed and nothing taken, felt very safe.
Staff team were all lovely, really lovely friendly people. Not many UK visitors, this was mostly a Mexican b and b and much nicer for it.
Bar close by around the corner, food not so good but great place to have a beer in evening.
If your a demanding fusspot who expects to be treated like a sultan whilst paying a low amount save up and jog on to an all inclusive.
If you want to see a more genuine Mexico choose this place, we loved it and would return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The price is the main upside of this hotel.
The night time reception could be improved. The hotel is a short walk away from Surf'n Burrito and another local eatery.
Although outside can be dark, I never felt unsafe.
Kids absolutely own the pool during the daytime - At night, the pool closes.
The local 10-12 Peso bus is right around the corner.
If you're looking for a party vibe, don't stay here.
If you're looking to relax at low cost, try it out.
I would probably stay at a different hotel upon return to Cancun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel meets the standard for lodging; the air conditioning works, the beds are comfortable, and the room has storage for stuff. It is somewhat farther from nightlife and shopping, but it is affordable (albeit somewhat hidden). On a side note, the updated restrooms are gorgeous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice quiet hotel near everything. Affordable, basic rooms, great staff and a lovely pool. Bus stop and several little restaurants. We will come back
