Perfect day, perfect guide - the Eco sunrise paddle board on one of the lagoons & trip to the Mayan Ruins were amazing. I booked via our hotel for a the tour above, but best to Whatsapp David on the number given on Google and the website ( his English is perfect). Pick up time was 6am we were back in Bacalar around 3pm David was the perfect guide , enthusiastic, really knowledgeable and very funny- we lucked out and had him for the entire day to ourselves . The sunrise on a lagoon & stomomites was absolutely stunning , we learnt so much about the ecology & nature of Bacalar as well as it's history. Both myself and boyfriend were novices at paddle boarding ,it's really easy and fun. Trip includes a delicious breakfast post paddle board at David's local place. I'm veggie and had quesadillas, beans & best corn tortillas I've had during my months trip to Mexico. My boyfriend had ,eggs ,chorizo & tortillas. We then drove around an hour to the Dzibache and Kinichná Mayan ruins which were stunning . If you do one thing in Bacalar please make it this tour - it's extremely reasonably priced considering the first class quality of day you get in return , regardless of the size of your group David can help with everything.
