I booked it from priceline. green motion does not accept any insurance coverage by credit card service international or national. saying that this is their policy. so you have to purchase extra insurance without it you cannot get the car. however priceline's website says that my purchase "CDW AND TW INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE RATES PROVIDED. and the agent in green motion says.. that is not how it works here. plus their office is far away from the airport. they do not have office at airport... 2nd floor office..at remoted small plaza.. cannot switch to another car rental service, so once you arrive this place, you do not have choice except accept the deal. do not ruin your trip at cancun from the first day. After I paid for all extra absurd charge,they offered me small aveo, but I booked for 2 tier above... They told me that no car available. I had to argue seriously for the tier I booked. And guess what? They had car from the begining..!!!!.after long argue.. finally they passed me the car I booked. Lie and lie and lie..until the last moment!!!!?į

We booked and paid for the car with insurance. when we arrived at the airport, no one was waiting for us (and that was written in the voucher). No one responded to the number they left for emergencies. The other day, too, no one responded. In the end we were left without a car, we paid a taxi 100 USD to the accommodation we booked. Now we will try to get the money back through Booking (but they do not guarantee us a full refund).

I made this reservation through Priceline on July 2021, here we are now, January 2nd 2022, 2 hours waiting and 1000 calls made and no one did ever show to pick us up! Do not! Repeat, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR CAR RENTAL NEEDS. None of their phone numbers work and they force you to get insurance from them regardless of the credit card you used to book. Also, shame on Priceline who just washed their hands saying it was up to Green Motion to get me my money back if I canceled the reservation. In the end. I can't emphasize enough not to use this company at all!

So... I don't usually rate much. Mainly because I don't want to hurt anyone's business. But here it is different. My family and I arrived in Cancun after Christmas. It wasn't unusually busy. The car was booked for 11 a.m. We were out of the airport at 11:30am. And should we call green motion to be picked up or have the vehicle brought to us. Unfortunately, unfortunately nobody answered the phone. Someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up. I've been trying for almost two and a half hours. My wife, myself, two children and 5 suitcases in the hot midday sun. Sooner or later I realized that green motion was hopeless. So I looked for another rental car. After another 2 hours, a car became free and we were mediated. The other car was exactly the same car that I ordered from green motion, but it cost €1255. Before that, I had already paid €750 to green motion. I feel like I've rented the same car twice, just from two different companies. I won't get the 750€ back because they say I didn't show up. That means, thanks to the company green motion cancun, I lost 750€, plus I had to pay 505€ more, plus I spent almost 5 hours with my family in a foreign country at the airport with suitcases and had to look for a solution. And that was exactly my experience with green motion and my first day in Mexico. Thank you green motion cancun!

Scam scam scam We booked and paid in advance on Expedia in September 2021. As another review below states, here we are on January 2 2022 stranded at the airport with no sign of Green Motion. They don't pick up their phone and they certainly didn't send anyone to pick us up. We had to rent another vehicle on the spot. Reading the latest reviews made me realize no one was coming for us. Horrible feeling to start your holiday being scammed. Hopefully Expedia will make this right.

If could give this company ZERO STARS I would. RENT FROM THEM AT YOUR OWN RISKS. We had to wait 90 minutes & 10 phone calls before getting picked. We prepaid our car rental, payed $339 s month & half prior to our arrival. We arrived to pick up the vehicle and Green Motion informed us they required an additional $65 a DAY for liability, even though our Booking.com voucher stated that liability coverage was included. We were told that this documentation was not sufficient. $65 a day additional is more than the cost of the rental car and this requirement was neither stated by Booking.com or Green Motion anywhere. Obviously this was unacceptable. We tried multiple times to be in touch with Booking.com -- but without access to any confirmation or PIN number, all assistance was denied (and not in a particularly professional manner, by the way). We made several requests for the information to be resent. No emails were received. We were beyond frustrated that we had to find another rental car company at the last minute in order to continue on our vacation. Not only is Green Motion a total SCAM, but our experience with Booking.com was anything but smooth or pleasant. We also tried calling on other days during our vacation to no avail. Booking.com should be more thorough with their partnership, because green motion is unethical car rental company.

This is the worst car rental experience of my life! When they finally picked me up at the airport, it took three phone calls and over one hour of waiting at the airport. At the office, I was the only person waiting for a car and I had a PREPAID reservation. They would not accept my reservation as they have their own one page listing their terms, which you must sign. My $394 car rental had $522 added to it! When i arrived at my destination that first evening, I only had one headlight working. I called their 24 hour help number and the person suggested i take it to an Auto Zone to get it fixed as I was about an hour from Cancun. He said he had to check on something and would call me right back. Still has not happened. On my way to get the headlight fixed, I discovered the wipers did not clear the windshield. One was torn and the other was worse. I replaced the wipers and headlight to the tune of 800 pesos. I left them the defective parts and the receipts for both. Apparently, only the owner can approve this reimbursement. I have subsequently called 6 times over the course of a month and cannot get this resolved. I WILL NEVER CONSIDER RENTING FROM THIS COMPANY AND WOULD URGE ANYONE CONSIDERING IT TO RUN TO ANY OTHER COMPANY. I rent in Cancun once or twice every year.

AVOID USING THIS COMPANY! IN THE END IT WILL COST YOU WAY MORE MONEY AND STRESS THAN ANY OTHER WELL KNOWN COMPANY. I rented the car online and paid in full at least 6 months before my 3 weeks vacation with insurance included. After 7 hrs flight no one was there to pick us up at the airport. Called many times, messaged via Whatsapp and waited for the transfer for two hours and no one ever showed up to pick us up (See pick up intructions on my reservation). I got a very expensive taxi to the rental office just to be told that the person in charge of the WhatsApp and phone didn't make it to work that day and therefore that's why no one answered my calls or messages. After that I was also forced to purchase additional insurance with them ($1000 Dollars) regardless of the top tier insurance I already included and paid for this car rental online. That without even considering the amount of money spent on long distance phone calls while at the Cancun airport to try and get the transfer from the airport to the car rental place. The car didn't even had a plate and only a 15 day expiring permit (see picture) that I had to remind them over and over again to send me a new one to cover my 23 days rental period. They send me the wrong car permit and then waited two more days to get the right one sent to me in PDF. I had to find a place to print the new permit while on vacation. Not having a plate is also a problem when you are trying to park and need to pay for parking and there is no way to purchase parking ticket without having a license plate to enter on the parking machine. We were always at risk of being towed when parking at paid areas. Avoid at all cost. This is a way below standard service provider. I hope this helps other customers to avoid the negative experience I had with Green Motion.
