★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hermoso invernadero perteneciente al instituto de biología de la UNAM. Construido en honor al Dr. Faustino Miranda. En éste invernadero de forma circular con domo metálico se encuentras muestras de especies endémicas de México; siendo la mayoria de Oaxaca, Chiapas y Veracruz.
Está localizado entre el IIMAS y el posgrado de ingeniería. La parada del pumabus más cercana es INVERNADERO.
Beautiful greenhouse belonging to the UNAM Institute of Biology. Built in honor of Dr. Faustino Miranda. In this circular greenhouse with a metal dome are samples of endemic species from Mexico; being the majority of Oaxaca, Chiapas and Veracruz.
It is located between the IIMAS and the engineering graduate. The closest pumabus stop is INVERNADERO.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Jardín Botánico de la UNAM tiene dos instalaciones. Una es el jardín abierto y la otra es el Invernadero Faustino Miranda. El lugar se creó en 1959 bajo una cúpula que cubre aproximadamente ochocientos metros cuadrados. El jardín abierto mantiene especies mexicanas de cactáces y árboles. Aquí puedes ver más bien todas las variedades de plantas tropicales.
La temperatura, humedad y luz, crean las condiciones ideales para las plantas del trópico. Pude ver plantas de café, que necesitan sombra, de cacao, bromelias, orquídeas, mango, plátano, entre otras especies. Es padre recorrer este rincón de bosque húmedo que no imaginaba existiera en la ciudad. Es una sensación completamente selvática, como en las películas. Me gustó ver la variedad de especies, las formas que toman y los medios por los cuales se hacen de luz y recursos en uno de los ecosistemas más competitivos y frágiles del planeta. Me laten las plantas, ya he hablado de dónde poder comprar helechos, orquídeas y otras en el Mercado de Plantas de Cuemanco. Aquí es más bien para disfrutar y recorrer el lugar. Está ubicado muy cerca del metro Universidad y la visita es muy grata para los que nos gusta pasar un rato con la naturaleza.
The UNAM Botanical Garden has two facilities. One is the open garden and the other is the Faustino Miranda Greenhouse. The place was created in 1959 under a dome that covers approximately eight hundred square meters. The open garden maintains Mexican species of cacti and trees. Here you can see rather all the varieties of tropical plants.
The temperature, humidity and light create the ideal conditions for tropical plants. I could see coffee plants, which need shade, cocoa, bromeliads, orchids, mango, banana, among other species. It is a father to visit this corner of humid forest that I did not imagine existed in the city. It is a completely jungle feeling, like in the movies. I liked seeing the variety of species, the forms they take and the means by which they are made of light and resources in one of the most competitive and fragile ecosystems on the planet. Plants beat me, I have already talked about where to buy ferns, orchids and others in the Cuemanco Plant Market. Here it is rather to enjoy and tour the place. It is located very close to the Universidad metro and the visit is very pleasant for those of us who like to spend time with nature.
