I feel it’s only fair I give this place a long honest review. I got a flat tire on the stupid 2 freeway at 2:30 am and thought I was a goner. I luckily had phone service and saw these guys were in Caborca - 50 miles from me. They were also 24/7! I called them and tried to explain the situation in my bad Spanish. The wife was super friendly and helpful and let me have my friend call her to communicate the situation better (shot out to friends who wake up at 2:30 am to call Mexico for you). Anyways, 1 hour and some change later I was strapped up to the tow truck and we were headed to Caborca. Jaime, the driver and owner, allowed me to sleep in my car while he towed me which was dope. When we arrived to Caborca, Jaime took me to a tire shop (at 4 am!!!) but they didn’t have my tire. I have a sports car so I forgot it would be more difficult finding the parts. We ended up dropping the car off in front of a hotel and I slept in the cramped drivers seat with a sleeping bag over my face. The payment process was the only weird part. I didn’t have cash on me, and being a US citizen I was having a hard time pulling out money from the ATM machines. Jaime took this for me not having enough money and started demanding to see my funds and insisting on pushing the buttons on the ATM for me to make sure I was doing it right. Didn’t like or appreciate this, but we’re in Mexico. I mean just download an app to take credit cards. Also it felt like a ton of money (3500 pesos) for a tow but again 2:30 am, sports car, and 50 miles (round trip) In the morning, my friend called Jaime up again and he was a down mofo to come pick the car up and try to take me to a mechanic and/or tire shop. We drove around the town but nothing was open - mind you it was Sunday. We finally found a tire shop that was open after driving about 10/15 minutes. We dropped the car off and Jaime introduced me to his friend at the tire shop. They didn’t have the tire I needed but they frantically made a bunch calls and 30 minutes later it showed up. It wasn’t the perfect slipper, but it did the job. When the tire arrived and it looked like I’d be ready to hit the road, Jaime took off. He didn’t ask for more money, he just said his goodbye and tried to recommend a burrito spot to eat at, but I told him I was too stressed to eat. After putting the tire on, we realized I had damaged two of my sway link bars on my back left tire. Not good! I had my friend call Jaime up again and he sent a mechanic to pick me up. Like what the hell. Anyways. This mechanic picks me up and drives the car over to his place. He and his 15 year old son, Chino, worked magic on my car and used a torch and Thor’s hammer to knock it back into running condition again (since they didn’t have the parts for my car and getting them could take up to a week). These guys were crazy. All this to say, these guys will get you back on the road.
