I entered the school because the opinions that are here are all positive about their teaching method. It really is a school where they welcome you very kindly, the teachers are nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, I left disappointed since in my stay there for approximately 5 months I noticed several things: 1. The monthly payment is not fixed for all students, when I entered they told me about a "scholarship" that I had to take advantage of since they were the last days, it really does not exist, in class I noticed that the receptionist always said the same to everyone. Just as when I made my payments I saw the list they had of us and we ALL had a different amount. 2. Several teachers are barely 20 years old (they are their students-alumni), and their only certificate is the "Oxford diploma" that the school gives (which is very easy to get since you only finish your books and pay or so how you get it there), these teachers do not have a Cambridge or other certification, so they are not sufficiently qualified to practice at that level. 3. At the end of the last book you can "graduate" and that is when you receive your Oxford diploma. While doing that book they told me that I already HAD to graduate, in a mandatory way because it was already in that book, I told them that I was not interested in going to the graduation party since I don't like them and apart from that they do a dance for that day so they ask you to go overtime to rehearsals; and I did not have time availability. When talking to the director she treats you to paint everything beautiful for you to go and buy them a graduation ticket, I told her that I was not interested, that I only cared about finishing the last level and the certificate so I would not pay to go to that graduation party. He said "No one has ever done that, you should go because people from Oxford will go and they will evaluate you" which did not make much sense in that case they would go to evaluate you at school with an exam that includes writing, listening, grammar and speaking, not with a two-minute thank you Bes of giving in English at the prom. I thought the argument they just gave me was ridiculous, so just in case I asked people I knew about it, they all denied it. After refusing to pay, they offered me that he would only pay for the certificates, where they sold me the school certificate, I refused to pay it since it only certifies you in B1 and it was of no use to me, they told me that if I wanted the Oxford certificate I had to obligatorily pay that. All this graduation show is very clear that they only do it for monetary purposes, since many of my classmates forced them to graduate (which several confirmed to me) and pay everything despite the fact that there were books below the one they ask for, just for the purpose of gathering a number of people to graduate. They were awarded the "Oxford" diploma despite not having accredited the entire course, which also made me doubt the validity of the course. This was my experience at Grupo American, I tried to comment on it as briefly and objectively as I could, so that they think twice before entering if they want to achieve an advanced level of English and a certificate with real validity, since it does not pass of being a family business where if there are no teachers they put their daughter missing, a lot of seriousness and school commitment. I do not deny that they are going to learn if they are just starting out or are children, but if they want an advanced level, look for schools with guaranteed prestige. At least I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism of those who run it.

The school is good, it allows you to choose and move the schedules every week, they are divided into 4 hours of theory and 2 hours of practice per week. In addition the price is acceptable. Teachers strive to teach with excellence. The facilities are small but comfortable. In general it is a good place where you can learn English at your own pace in a relaxed and fun environment.
