★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great side trip if you are visiting Ixtapan de la Sal. Beautiful area, interesting tour, nice guides and staff. Be prepared to hike up a lot of stairs on your return trip to your car. Bring water! They have extensive adventure tours but I am not sure how to prebook them prior to getting to the site because the website is lacking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went yesterday but unfortunately the place was closed due to the pandemic so instead of leaving that place we took a small hiking tour inside the dried forest and yeah that was amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible place. The subterranean river experience was amazing. I accidentally touched some bat poop, but the rest was amazing. You can't bring your phone or camera down there, but if you have a waterproof case or camera and a little bag to keep it in, you can snap some good pictures. To enter, you have to climb down with a zip rope, and hold on to it to get to the river. You're gonna have to swim and dive in to keep on going, and it may be scary at some points, but it's definitely worth it. You're gonna exit the river and be welcomed with a beautiful view of green hills. Since the place shares a hill with Guerrero, you can say you also went there! Once you exit the cave, you're gonna walk through a jungle-like place, so don't forget to bathe yourself in mosquito repellent and sunscreen. The guides are fully trained and certified professionals, so they'll take good care of you. All of this for just 200 pesos and the 40 for adults or 30 for kids, at the entrance. The photos below show the entrance to the subterranean river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice geological place to visit. The guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we were safe throughout the tour. We did see bats I the caves! The area around the cave entrance is nice as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the place is a must when visiting Ixtapan de la Sal. It is just a short drive away from downtown Ixtapan. The caves are connected by a subterranean river to other Cacahuamilpa Caves. There are opportunities to make the entire journey, ask the guides when and how; otherwise one can enjoy a one-hour tour around the caves and enjoy wonderful
formations

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a fun experience. I enjoyed everything about it from the long steps down to the location, to the souvenir, to the tour. It was a fun and educational place to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful case system that is accessed for only 42 pesos per person, which includes a guided tour that lasts approximately 1 hour. Be aware that there is a large number of stairs leading down to the cave entrance, and additional sets of stairs once you are inside the cave.
