★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El primer gran edificio público de la Revolución Mexicana en Durango fue, sin duda, la Escuela “Guadalupe Victoria”, concebida como una institución superior de educación primaria; se levantó sobre los terrenos del antiguo panteón del viejo Hospital Civil cerca de la antigua Acequia Grande, entre el centro de la ciudad y los barrios populares de Tierra Blanca y Analco.
La escuela fue diseñada personalmente por el entonces gobernador interino Ing. Pastor Rouaix, su proyecto se dio a conocer en agosto de 1932, unas semanas antes de la conclusión de su mandato. La obra no dio inicio como estaba programada, sin embargo el proyecto fue retomado por el general Carlos Real, al frente del nuevo Gobierno del Estado y dispuso la ejecución del mismo, encargando la obra al propio Ing. Rouaix.
 The first large public building of the Mexican Revolution in Durango was, without a doubt, the "Guadalupe Victoria" School, conceived as a higher institution of primary education; it was built on the grounds of the old pantheon of the old Civil Hospital near the old Acequia Grande, between the city center and the popular districts of Tierra Blanca and Analco.
The school was personally designed by the then interim governor Ing. Pastor Rouaix, his project was announced in August 1932, a few weeks before the end of his term. The work did not start as scheduled, however the project was resumed by General Carlos Real, at the head of the new State Government and ordered its execution, commissioning the work to Ing. Rouaix himself.
