Willy es un gran guía con extensa formación y muy bien dispuesto a responder todas tus preguntas. El tour se extendió más allá de lo previsto, ya que se tomó el tiempo para despejar nuestras dudas y mostrarnos los mejores lugares y especies de Río Lagartos. Superó nuestras expectativas.

Nous avons réalisé ce jour la visite de la réserve avec William, qui est un guide incroyable. William a réalisé des études de biologie et a pu nous expliquer énormément de choses sur la flore, les oiseaux et toutes les espèces présentes dans la réserve. Grâce à lui nous avons vu de nombreux oiseaux, des flamands roses, des araignées et même des crocodiles ! William est extrêmement gentil, à l’écoute et passionné par son métier. Il est très arrangeant et fera tout pour vous faire passer un bon moment (notre excursion a même duré 45 minutes de plus que prévu). Muchas gracias William, este tour fue realmente increible. Esperamos que podriamos volver un dia….

We had a wonderful tour at sunrise... we saw a lot of birds and animals through the tour. And at the end, a nice swim in a paradise like beach :) Thank you!

Omg what can I say out of all the tour I have done this is the best one.. because William took his time to explain all the kind of plants and animals we saw ..he has bio degre so he really knows his stuff.. what I love is how kind an nice he was special with our 4 years old ❤.. I cant wait to do it again with my friends and family.. I highly recommend it... you will not regret it..

My family went for a birding tour with William Canto at Rio Lagartos. William is an excellent birding guide and is really knowledgeable about where to find the birds. I sent him my target bird list before the tour, and he worked on my bird list during the tour. At the end of the day, we saw 45 bird species (there were probably more that I didn't take a note of), and 13 of them are new lifers to me.

Will's tour was one of our favorite activity in Yucatan. He was really nice, gave us a lot of information about this amazing mangrove area. He also took amazing "Insta-ready" picture of us. We definitely recommend this guy!

I regret to say that we didn't enjoy the tour as much as we expected after reading the reviews here and on Facebook about the guide's knowledge, photography skills and useful tips. After we contacted William, he gave us the spot with a different guide. Our captain was a nice gentleman who gave us few details about fauna and flora and showed us some birds, but it was probably nothing more than any other trip offered in the area. We really liked feeding pelicans and watching the birds. Yet we didn't know that the flamingos would be barely visible because the boat couldn't go further because of the water level (not the fault of this specific tour, but I'm just mentioning it to manage the readers' expectations). Overall good trip, but probably you can get the same quality for a lower price coming to Rio Lagartos and talking to the people in the port. My advice is to make sure you'll get William as a guide and if not, look for cheaper options.
