Loma Bonita, fue en un principio una colonia de norteamericanos jóvenes, que en tierras del bajo Papaloapam fundaron varios campamentos y se dedicaron a la agricultura en una zona rica en bosques de maderas preciosas, frutales, cafetales y cocoteros. Algunos de esos campamentos fueron establecidos en terrenos cercanos a la población de Tres Valles, llamándole Brisley y más adelante construyeron un caserío al que nombraron Fuente Villa, próximo o Palo Gacho (Actualmente Benemérito Juárez).
 The name is given because of the hills of the region that have great beauty.
Loma Bonita, was originally a colony of young North Americans, who founded several camps in the lower Papaloapam lands and dedicated themselves to agriculture in an area rich in forests of precious woods, fruit trees, coffee plantations and coconut palms. Some of these camps were established on land near the town of Tres Valles, calling it Brisley and later they built a hamlet that they named Fuente Villa, or Palo Gacho (currently Benemérito Juárez).
