H177 Hotel - 24000 Campeche

The H177 hotel is well located in the city center close to restaurants and important sights of Campeche. The rooftop has a nice view of the city and the plunge pool is good for a little refreshment. Unfortunately, our room had no daylight but rather a window into the hallway which felt a little dark. And because the pool is indoors between the rooms, you can smell the chlorine everywhere which did not bother us. The hotel offered parking close by in a separate parking lot which was great and the reception staff was extremely nice.

Clean rooms, good location, but...very noisy rooms. Not good with children. Maybe just for an over night stay.

I would not recommend this place, we did not have a good experience here and the photos look nicer in the picture than in reality. Check-in was very slow and our room was not ready at check-in time. Room: We booked a suite. Their key system does not work, we were stuck outside for over an hour waiting to get in our room with no solution and that we would potentially have to wait until the repair guy comes the next day. After waiting for over an hour at night, we asked if we could do a late check out due to the circumstances and the staff told us that the owners don't work on Sundays so it wasn't possible (nonsense). Basically, once we got back in we could not go out again with the risk of being locked out. The room was small with no windows, the doors are not well isolated so we could hear the wind and the door shaking. We had to put towels in the crack of the door and on the floor to decrease the noise. Pros: the staff was nice and the water pressure in the shower was great. Recommendation, browse for another place.

Great location! Single rooms are small but clean and comfortable, great shower. The roof is a very nice place to relax and view the city. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Our room had no windows (it felt like to be locked in the basement during holidays...). The thin door was facing the indoor pool and the noise was disturbing. On the plus side, stuff is friendly, its clean and they have a nice rooftop. We would give a 2-3 of 5 stars and would not book again. Since we found the high ratings in advance, we give 2 stars.

No luxuries but location is great. The host is very helpful. Bed for 2 and a couch where a small person can sleep comfortably for a few nights. Tap water is not drinkable, but the host provides drinkable water bottles.

I had an okay stay at H177. As other reviews have stated, the single rooms do not have outside-facing windows and the walls are thin, so you may hear inconsiderate neighbors yelling. That said, the location is great and the staff were very helpful. Great terrace and shower!
