★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is located inside the Rio Secreto underground river experience. The name is Yucatec Mayan: “ha” means water and “kuxtal” means “to be alive”.
We came to do the incredible spelunking experience at Rio Secreto. At the end of the tour, all participants are treated to lunch that is included in the price of admission. They will serve you all you can eat, and you may want to eat a lot because the food was very good!
They serve you various types of tacos and sauces, including vegetarian tacos. I was surprised at the quality of the food. The restaurant is in a large palapa and is decorated with Mayan glyphs or alphabet. Next to the restaurant there is a gift shop, which is worth taking a look.
