Hacienda Del Secreto

My fiancée and I were recommended this place by a family friend and I'm letting you in on the secret. I will always remember this trip because everything(the food, drinks, weather, staff, and accommodations) was perfect. The staff was absolutely amazing! Everyone spoke very good English and went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. We had total privacy, but there was always a staff member nearby if we needed anything. The house keeping kept our villa and pool very clean and accommodated our every need. The few days we were there we had the entire beach to ourselves. This isn't one of those overcrowded commercial resorts with people and kids everywhere you look. So, if your trying to get away, unwind, and relax, this place has everything you're looking for.

In my opinion Hacienda is the only place I want to stay when visiting the Riviera Maya. Boutique hotel feel with all the amenities of a full resort. Great beach, gorgeous rooms and a staff providing impeccable service.

The staff was friendly, responsive and on top of everything that we needed. The owner was there and said hi a couple times to make sure we were good with everything, she is awesome. The house was beautiful, right on the beach and well kept. We had a fabulous time and hope to go back!

We were absolutely blown away with our experience at Hacienda del Secreto. 10/10, this was the vacation and wedding of our dreams!!! In fact I can honestly say it was more perfect than we even dreamed. Doy, the fabulous owner and wedding planner, truly thought of every single tiny detail in this luxury resort. Wedding: It was perfection. We had 88 guests and booked out the resort for 4 days. HDS fits approximately 60 guests so we booked a few neighboring properties as well. Everyone was able to use all facilities even if staying off site. We had 4 days of events and each party was in a different area of the property so each day had its own exciting and different atmosphere. Everyone approached us to say it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to and let me tell you, if you knew us you’d know this is not due to our credit. We aren’t good planners so this was all thanks to Doy and this dreamy venue. Villas: Trust me on this one- the pictures do not do it justice. Every one of our guests said this. They are stunning and each villa is unique and beautifully decorated. The entire property feels like you’re walking around paradise. The resort is located in a small gated neighborhood. It is a quiet beach perfect for unplugging and unwinding. Or in our case, the perfect location for a large private party! Staff: Doy is the mastermind behind it all and I don’t have enough room here to explain how amazing she is! We worked with her closely as our wedding planner and cant recommend her enough. She was incredibly accommodating and happy to make any of our ideas become a reality. She has wonderful connections in the event planning community and her vendors are the best of the best. She has also found the best people to work at HDS. Everyone was outrageously welcoming, kind, and fun to be around. They go above and beyond. Oscar with guest services was incredible and took care of anything and everything we needed. Rafael and the security team are top notch so you can feel totally safe leaving doors open. Rafael even took over guest service duties after hours and helped us with every little need! There is a reason all of the couples who get married here end up coming back again and again. We can’t wait to make this a regular vacation spot. Thank you Doy and HDS for giving us the best few days of our lives!

Great villas with beautiful ocean front views.

You can’t get any closer to the beach and ocean. Beautiful views, peaceful surroundings and none of the chaos of all inclusive resort. This is a great place to get away from it all and relax. The service is tremendous and Oscar and team took great care of us!

An absolute disaster. The beach was full of trash and seaweed. Both side of the complex has two abandoned houses that has ganag markings. We had a wedding party and they didn't have enough space for us. Had us at the local apartments across from the village, no running water on the sinks. every time we wanted to get shampoo or any accommodation the staff were rude and telling us you are out side the resort and we shouldn't help you as it has another owner. It got worse, when we walked to the condo from the complex on the 3rd day, we found it ingulfed in flames. After we put the fire out ourselves with the help of the neighbors, the complex manager mentioned that we can stay at her place, right next to the other apartment that was burned!!!! We refused and magically they found us a suite inside the complex!!! I wonder why that wasn't offered at first. We settled down and repacked and cleaned up a little only to find blood stains and hairs on the bed. This trip and wedding was a disaster. We wasted $1000 for an accommodation that almost cost us our lives! The dirty bed was the last straw. We left and went to the Hilton at 11pm.

Great place to stay with friends and family. The staff was amazing, the villas were clean and tidy; we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation and celebration.
