★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since this place is now on tourism radar, it has been barbed-wired during official closed times (weekdays). I went on a Tuesday when such was the case, but found a breach in the fencing, and took advantage of being the only person there (along with my wife). In a word: magic. A lost world, full of history and countless mines. In a way, bottomless pits. Throw a rock in, and hear it bounce, not until it reaches bottom, but until it's so far, it can no longer be heard. This place will fundamentally change you. All that said, perhaps a star should be knocked off if you must see it with however many gringos go on weekends.
