I love staying at the Hacienda Panoaya! The location is spectacular. The surrounding mountains/volcanoes are amazing. The rooms, restaurant, hotel and grounds are super clean. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant's Mexican food is authentic and delicious. The grounds are fun and very interesting to visit. The historic 16th century hacienda is worth touring. I enjoyed learning about the famous poet and scholar Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz. I also enjoyed learning more about the pre Columbian/Nauatl, people who lived in the area. There is also a petting zoo, Zip Line, volcano museum, swimming pools, animal show, and many more fun activities for the entire family. There is also a nearby beautiful and state of the art Christmas Tree farm. I try to visit Panoaya once a year. Dr. David A. Gomez, California

We went as a family. Incredible place. With outdoor activities for all age groups. Well kept, clean absolutely beautiful! The scenery of the volcanoes is incredible! There's the visit to Sor Juana museum, for those who like cultural activities. A hotel. Spa and restaurant. Plus the prices are within range.

I visited there like a year ago and I remember that the place is very lush, clean and well maintained. Lots of activities for the kids, animals and a maze. Very good place to enjoy a day with the family.

Great Park to have fun with your family. No food, no pets allowed inside. If you exit the park, you have to pay again. Which is bad if you plan to have a long stay, because the restaurant may be too expensive, Didn't check it, but Hacienda's page mentions buffet is worth $325 pesos. Entrance fee includes most activities. But to use the pool, bubble bath and baby animal petting zoo you have to pay a little extra. In case you need, swuimsuits are available to buy. Labyrinth is fun and worths the trip, but there are many people, so you may end up following someone else. Feeding zoo is a great activity for the family, but food bags are too expensive in my opinion. $30 pesos and is a little bag with 100gr of food. Food gets over very quickly, and you have to run to escape from animals (that adds a little fun). There is a bouncy zone for toddlers. And a giant slide for the whole family. I didn't try, but there is a jiraffe feeding zone, reptiles and other animals zone. Like a zoo. My intention was to buy a Christmas tree in the forest and enter free to the park, but that promo is only available from monday to friday. I arrived sunday very late, 3pm, park closes at 5pm (there was a lot of traffic). But the time expended was enough for my kids to love it. Will certainly come back. Maybe my recommendation will be arriving at 9 in the morning, and leave the place at 2 or 3pm, to have meal outside.

The kids enjoyed our time there, but several things were not open, as it was Friday. The animal show was canceled due to rain, but wasn't announced that it was canceled. Several people sat around waiting 30 minutes for it to start. Not sure why it wasn't rescheduled. They took the giraffe inside without announcing, so we couldn't feed it. Price should be lowered when everything isn't open.
