★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not say that is the greatest experience ever if you are in Hidalgo state. However, a place for a nice walk, a beautiful scenery, a for a rest close to the lake and waterfall inside the property.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful place full of history, it should be one of your places to visit if you tour Mexico City and near by places.
The Ex-Hacienda San Miguel Regla, was the home of Count Don Pedro Romero de Terreros.
Built in the 18th century, where in the past the minerals extracted from the Real del Monte mines were processed (mainly gold and silver), to later be sent to New Spain. Due to this activity it became the first silver beneficiation Hacienda in the region, achieving the fame of the place.
Today it is an Exclusive Hotel, with enviable landscapes and beautiful historical buildings that invite fantasy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Castle is very nice. I recommend to visit. unfortunately they did not have an English speaking guide, so we just walked around the castle and grounds and enjoyed the beautiful views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No pet friendly… too expensive, and there is no much to see; just one waterfall, and no more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Hacienda with gardens, tunnels and grounds to explore :D They have a restaurant and rooms to stay here too, but we didn't have that pleasure for ourselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place with a lot of history. Take the free historical tour to understand that. Nice gardens, pools for skimming etc. Highly recommended to walk the short distance to the basalt columns and waterfall outside the hacienda's walls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a nice place but not much to do here. It is a little expensive. The room s are simple but nice. No wifi except in common areas. Food service is a little slow but food was good. Staff is nice. All stone walkways, so difficult to walk around. Wheelchairs might have some difficulty. American breakfast is rather small. Place is clean. Shower we had needs some maintenance as the hot water valve was not working well and light switch in bathroom needed replacement.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff here was very friendly in accommodating our wheelchair. Some of the walkways were quite bumpy, but still manageable. It's possible to get around most of the hacienda in a wheelchair without having to navigate any stairs. Just be aware it's not realistic to roll here in your wheelchair from the Prismas Basalticos since there isn't a good sidewalk.
