★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had stayed at Temozon before. Nice property, beautiful rooms, relaxing atmosphere, excellent service. The food is very good but there should be a bit of creativity in the menus at Haciendas. We love the pool. It’s beautiful. Please do some resin maintenance to it. It would be a shame that it gets degraded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful stay in one of the historic haciendas in the beautiful and peaceful Yucatan peninsula. Very efficient and friendly staff. Very professional general manager who managed with style and efficiency the arrival of the hurricane Grace in August 2021.
Definitely a must stay for a road trip in Yucatan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Calling this 'luxury' is a stretch. If they didn't oversell themselves / charge a premium price I'd have given a higher rating.
Issues:
- Pool completely covered in dead bugs and debris to a point we didn't swim... the pool was supposed to be a main attraction of this place, especially with the intense summer heat
- No context given on hacienda, no offer to share history or a tour to give place meaning... there are artifacts everywhere, what do they mean?
- There's a beautiful cenote in the pictures, but we were told we couldn't go to it. Hotel shouldn't highlight off limit features in its advertising.
- A fresh coat of paint here and there and many other small restorations could help bring building back to its historical glory days and fit the 'luxury' title...
- Breakfast was generic and unremarkable, I've had better at every other hotel in our stay in Mexico
Overall felt like this is a hotel that doesn't put effort into itself anymore.
Dinner was a delight and surprised us with its quality, contrary to older reviews - maybe they changed chefs? I suggest eating at restaurant to enjoy the views and take some lovely pictures while in the area, but skip the stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There aren’t enough words to describe this place, which is both stuck in time and still an incredible place to enjoy some rest. Santiago and his team are incredible. They provide excellent service and attention to detail. The rooms are very large and comfortable. Very clean and authentic. We had both a standard room and a large suite, which I definitely recommend as it is considerably larger. The rooms have excellent amenities and I especially enjoyed the bath shampoo, shower gel and conditioner which were presented in lovely small porcelain containers. The staff is exceptionally nice and efficient. We requested that our exterior tub be filled with water and were asked whether we would like it to be cold or water. One gentleman spent nearly 1 hour cleaning the tub and even brought some chairs and plants to make the whole area much more comfortable.
The main building is very comfortable and pleasant for dinner and drinks. The food is great, tasty and very well presented. Breakfast has a very large offer, with a special highlight to their bread basket which is delicious. Lunch and dinner menus are also great and tasty with plenty of options.
The pool area is great with plenty of space to enjoy some rest. Sadly the only downside of the whole experience was that the pool water had sometimes dirt that continuously fell despite the attempts to keep it clean.
On the day of our departure, we were forced to amend our itinerary due to an upcoming hurricane. We inquired whether we could extend our stay but were asked to move to another property in order to ensure our safety. Santiago, the property manager, assisted us in finding an alternative and even made the booking for us over the phone. We really appreciated his help with this and are very grateful.
I would definitely recommend this marvellous place not just for the amazing scenery but also for the super attentive staff which deserve all the best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay with our three children was magical. We felt like we were going back in time. The Hacienda is gorgeous, the tour of the property with a guide was excellent and the pool was one of the most attractive we have seen in Mexico.
The hotel breakfast was great.
There could be a little more effort made on the dining experience.
We highly recommend the Hacienda.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is basically for the property itself as the staff works hard and is trying. 5 stars for Jenny the wonderful concierge who helps so much ahead of our visit with transportation and spa reservations!
Calling itself "luxury" is a stretch. If you want the vibe go for a meal and view of the pool... tho it's not exactly the easiest place to get to. The road off the highway is rough and full of potholes. The restaurant is good however and the staff is friendly. The pork tacos are delicious.
The place tho is odd. I'm not sure about the other Haciendas but this one could use a LOT of TLC. There are so many open spaces they could make way more interesting with landscaping, seating areas, and at minimum some lightening. There are a ton of very old areas... unused, and that's really the only thing to do to walk around and wonder what is all this old stuff for? But no context is offered, no history, unless you do the tour. It's frankly quite bizarre.
If you want to completely disappear and feel a little rustic, and know you basically have your room, the restaurant facing the pool, and seating area facing big empty entrance to hang at - than ok, but I wouldn't necessarily call it tranquil and definitely not luxurious. The pool was dirty on one side, I never Saw one person in it, the hot tub was not hot, and we tried to walk to the secret cenote but there wasn't signage and ended up in a loop back to hotel. The spa service was top notch, absolutely 5*, thank you Fatima! It was in a room not in the cenote that gets advertised, as we were told right now there can be lots of bugs and even rats! The bedroom suite was huge with a hammock and an outside bath they filled for us that was lovely, the living room was pretty barren, they can use some art. The bed is comfortable I slept great.
If you have kids please for the love of God don't come here. I cannot imagine how you would survive. We saw so many kids and cannot imagine what they possibly do with them at this property. If you are a writer and just need to go hide and write for a few days in the jungle then this could work. Otherwise I would not recommend. I'm Pretty open and flexible and have stayed many places... I just can't in good conscience tell people to go to this particular Hacienda unless it's for a specific reason.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed for 3 days over Thanksgiving. This place has so much potential but it was disappointing. When you arrive, you arrive at a beautiful and impressive building. Unlike other reviewers have said, we found the grounds to be well maintained. The pool is nice but the water features are only turned on during peak days and times. The swim up bar is only in operation on Saturdays and Sundays. In the meantime, there is no wait service at the pool, though we were able to order drinks by calling the reception and asking them to send a waiter.
Be aware that you are very far from any restaurants so you are stuck eating at the restaurant which is terrible - the food was so bad we didn't send things back because we knew their replacements wouldn't be any better. Cocktails were better. But seriously, how does a Marriott mess up a burger so badly? My boyfriend said it was the worst burger he ever had. It would behoove them to pair down their menu and do a few things well as opposed to many things terribly (we did, however, like the quesadillas). Everyone else we met during our stay agreed.
No coffee machine in room. Very few outlets. Shower water never got hot. Jacuzzi outside is great, but again, keep in mind the water doesn't get hot (I saw some people complained that the tubs were dirty but just call the staff and they clean out the leaves and set up the jacuzzi's nicely for you). Service was so-so. Wait staff was pretty good but check-in took forever and the person who checked us in didn't seem really together (we had to ask some questions twice and still never got answers). The cave spa looks nothing like it does on website photos - instead it is dark and dank. Beds are a weird shape - wider than they are long. My 6' boyfriend had to sleep somewhat diagonally to fit. Bed was comfortable though and rooms are huge and spotless.
So why three stars? Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite the problems. If it hadn't been for the food, this would have been a 4.5 star stay for us. The property itself is beautiful and tranquil and we don't regret giving it a try. We wouldn't go back or recommend for more than one night to others, however. For the price we paid, we'd rather stay at the Ritz or Four Seasons.
