★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely surroundings and spacious room. For wildlife enthusiasts, the birds are great fun. Insects do enter the room so one should be ready. When we visited, the place was badly understaffed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location at the old Hazienda is truly amazing. Otherwise the hotel is not to a luxury hotel standard and definitely is overpriced. It does not feel clean, the furniture is old, there are holes in the mosquito nets which result in numerous insects being inside the room including pretty large spiders. It needs maintenance, attention to detail and general care. I still recommend it for one night but only because of the location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel and surroundings are beautiful , but the service is completely poor. The check in it’s with no special treatment (neither water was offered to us). The room telephone didn’t work, I reported it and nothing happened. We found 2 frogs in separate times (1 in the shower area & another in the toilet area) I had to walk a long way to the reception to report it. In the pool area (beautiful one) there were no towels, again I walk to the reception area to ask. We spend 2 days in the pool and no one showed up to offer us the bar service, I needed again to go to ask for a drink & snacks. In the second day I asked for towel service before we go to the pool and they didn’t leave them. The night before I reserved a table for breakfast, I arrived on time and the table was occupied, they completely ignore my solicitation. The restaurant has very good food and drinks, but lack of personnel, and lack of service, they don’t offer you coffee, they don’t come to your table to see what you need. As I said, the building, nature, surroundings are worth the visit. If you want to have a nice stay, bring your own beer & snacks for the pool. Enjoy the restaurant food and don’t expect a good service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely divine. The restaurant is great and the beauty of the place will make you cry. Be sure to take a bird watching tour and a historical tour. Walk around the grounds and really look at how beautiful it is.
There are honestly few things that are worth the price tag nowadays and this was 100% worth it. I would like to come back someday, whenever I need peace and serenity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must stop if you are visiting Edzna.
The Hacienda Uayamon has a great restaurant with nice views over the gardens and main entrance. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was friendly and accommodating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have no word to express the beauty of this place. The pictures do not capture the scale of it. Many thanks to the architects, owners and workers. Thanks for preserving the old buildings and the nature around. Please keep it as it is (with the bats) and do not change anything. This is an establishement for charm, art, nature and history lovers. You won't find the usual amenities of a 5 star hotel : some elements of the place are rustic, not everything in the room function perfectly. The stay is expensive, but such serenity and beauty has no price : spend a full day here at least, it's one of the best activites you will do in Campeche and in Yucatan in general.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the ultimate marketing trap. There’s nothing luxurious about this property. We were planning to spend a night there but didn’t do it after reading some reviews and I’m glad we didn’t stay there. We still went to visit and get to know the place. We were charged 100 pesos per person just to walk around the property and watch how it’s falling apart. We were told by one of their gardeners who gave us a tour of the place that we were not allowed to go into the pool area out of respect to the privacy of their guests. We didn’t get to see any of the 12 rooms they have, which used to be the servants rooms, even though they had 2 available. What really bothered me is that when we tried to see the restaurant, the gardener said we were not allowed there either because the manager would get upset. So basically for 200 pesos we were only able to see the parts of the hacienda that have no maintenance and are falling apart. The investors that own this property don’t do anything to prevent further decay. When I showed my dissatisfaction, the gardener did agree to show us the restaurant which was nothing exceptional. It did look nice, but if you’re a guest there, you’re stuck with that one restaurant only because the hacienda is in the middle of nowhere. Needless to say their prices are very high for small amounts of food as I got see the portions served. I'm just impressed with their marketing and how people fall for it
