It was the best experience to have stayed at Hacienda Wakax, it is a place surrounded by nature, plants, birds and a lot of water in the lakes that it has and where you can swim, paddle or simply sunbathe and enjoy the landscape. The rooms are huge well equipped with large and very original bathrooms, you can see trees inside the rooms and bathrooms since they were respected in the project. All the staff are very friendly and well trained and make you feel at home. The food was delicious and very varied.

Going to Hacienda Wakax on our trip to Mexico has been an unforgettable experience. It is difficult to describe since it is an enchanted place in the middle of an exuberant but controlled nature. The architect of this project has known how to take advantage and beauty of everything. I cannot fail to mention the hospitality and friendliness of everyone who works there, ready to organize all kinds of exciting plans.

Loved this hotel SO much, by far my best experience in the multiple times I've been at the Caribbean. The rooms are unique and very comfortable, lots of activities like yoga, bike tours, cenotes, water paddle, beautiful scenery, different spots to relax, and a delicious restaurant, all at the same place. Very much recommended! If not to stay, at least a day pass, this is a MUST place to visit in Tulum!

Beautiful setting, gorgeous design, incredible activities and delicious food! We came here on our honeymoon, and this is far and away the best place I have ever stayed in my life. We even extended our stay an extra night because it was so perfect. From the pictures we could tell it was stunning and beautifully designed, but it was even more incredible in real life. The room was gorgeous, luxuriously comfortable and smelled amazing, with of course the classic useful amenities too like coffee facilities and a fridge in the room. Wandering around the site was like an adventure! The jungle setting is amazing. Around every corner you can find a private cenote, or a hidden nook with Persian rugs and cushions for chilling, or swimming pools. That brings me to the activities. There is so much to do here, and it's free! The brilliant activities leader, Gonzo, took us on a tour of the underground cenotes and on a bike tour around the site and its Maya village. He talked us through the geography and flora and fauna of the area with such interest and warmth, we learned a lot and loved his company! Beyond the tours- there are free yoga classes every morning and you can paddle board or kayak whenever you want. The cenote is open until 8pm so there's chance to do some night swimming too after dark, and it's beautifully lit! Finally the food. Oh my god, it's amazing. We tried as much as we could on the menu and everything was delicious. There’s also a whole separate menu for veggie / vegan options. The staff are friendly and attentive and take good care of you. We particularly enjoyed the ceviche, tacos, steak and the apple tart dessert! We can't wait to stay here again sometime, and will be recommending this place to everyone we know!

Located just off the highway between Cancun and Tulum but once you've travelled down the long driveway, it feels incredibly remote and the jungle setting is incredible. The architecture of the whole site is really well thought out and the rooms are simple but very classy. Spacious, clean and stylish - among the nicest rooms I've stayed in. The multiple pools are lovely but the Cenotes are something else - real tropical island paradise material but with meticulously placed bean bags and pergolas with an endless supply of fresh beach towels always on hand. The larger cenote near the restaurant has paddle boards and kayaks free to use whenever as well. Activities manager Gonzo is a font of knowledge and stories. Super passionate, make sure to take him up on the underground river tour at least - a real highlight! The bike tour is also great. Food and drink at Cocal were excellent, both food and service wise. There's still a lot of work going on across the huge site (not that it ever disturbs you) so imagine there is lots more to come!
