About Hacienda Zotoluca

La arquitectura de la casa principal consta de dos etapas, la casa principal tiene un estilo Colonial del siglo XVII, y la parte de los costados y trasera tiene un estilo neo-gótico el cual fue diseñado por el famoso Arquitecto Don Antonio Rivas Mercado quien a su vez remodeló varias Haciendas de la zona como San Bartolomé del Monte, San Antonio Ometusco, y su obra maestra fue el Monumento del Ángel de la Independencia ubicado en Paseo de la Reforma en la Ciudad de México. No solo eso, si no que a su vez, el Arquitecto Rivas Mercado le hace un homenaje al Pulque de Zotoluca diseñándole un tinacal octagonal en estilo Mudéjar único en su especie.

LLegamos por ahi de las 11.50 am, nos encontramos con una preciosa y gigantesca puerta principal metalica cerrada, no habia nadie que la abriera, busque timbre no lo encontre, di la vuelta en mi coche, entre por el estacionamiento, deje mi carro junto a los camiones de la gente de catering camine hasta una oficina, ahi; unas señoritas que segun entendi eran las weeding planers me ayudaron, una de ella le pide a un hombre que abra la puerta, damos la vuelta, entramos por la puerta principal. Tengo la impresion de que no estaban listos o no esperaban que los clientes llegaran a esa hora. Despues de eso todo rete bonito, repito, lo que yo vi de ese lugar me parecio precioso, es por eso que me apena describir la "dificultad" que padecieron los clientes que lleve alla, el lugar merece tener mucho mejor servicio. Las habitaciones están de lujo y vale toda la pena pasar un fin de semana y disfrutarla. Julio, el dueño, una increíble persona, dedicada y comprometida con su tierra, amante del pulque y de la fiesta brava. Incredible place to know a little about Mexico. Las habitaciones son extremadamente cómodas y la atención es espectacular. Desayunos, comidas y cenas están incluidas, y la verdad cocinan muy bien. Las bebidas alcohólicas no están incluidas, pero como tip, puedes llevar tus propias bebidas si así lo deseas y no hay ningún problema. Por otro lado, yo pensé que no habría nada que hacer y sin duda me equivoqué. Estuvimos en un taller de fabricación de sombreros, en una experiencia de miel con panales de abejas y también está la posibilidad de contratar un viaje en globo aerostático que sale literalmente de la hacienda. Vale mucho la pena visitar esta hacienda. I stayed at the hacienda with my wife for a weekend and we loved the experience. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the attention is spectacular. Alcoholic drinks are not included, but as a tip, you can bring your own drinks if you wish and there is no problem. On the other hand, I thought there would be nothing to do and I was certainly wrong. We were in a hat-making workshop, in a honey experience with beehives and there is also the possibility of hiring a hot-air balloon trip that literally leaves the hacienda. This farm is well worth a visit.

Hay caballos, burros y mulas libres, y se dejan acariciar. Hay una capilla, muy bonita. No se de las habitaciones, no me hospede en el lugar, solo fui a hacer una sesión fotográfica, por eso hablo del lugar, es muy agradable y bien cuidado.
