As an expat living here I tried out several bike stores as well as mechanics and this is the best mechanic by far...by really, really far! I bought brand new bikes where the shop owners (like Elite Cyclery) refused to fix brokens parts though I was within the first two weeks of purchase. Here they offered quick help for a fair price. They even offer a fair service if you speak poor Spanish and are recognizable as a tourist. Examples:
A) brakes did not work properly, wiring of the gears was messed up, broken pedals (material failure, twice), saddle bent, tyres not running smoothly, selling of a bell and reflectors -> 160 MXN for 15 minutes of fixing including parts
B) gear shifts broken, chain broken -> 120 MXN for 10 minutes of fixing including spare parts
C) squeaking brakes, tyres not running smoothly -> Fixing for free since I tip them
If you go there please be nice and tip them. They do a great job and do not screw you.
