Hangar Inn Hotel - 45672 El Refugio

The good: I was worried after reading the previous comments but my flight got in at 2AM & I decided to give it a chance. I’m glad I did! First, I did feel safe enough, even as a solo female Traveller. Second, the shuttle was free, arrives on call in about 5mins (even at 2 am!!) both to and from the airport. Thank you! That convenience alone made a big difference. No bugs or mosquitoes! I would have noticed, trust me. The shower/bathroom was lovely, modern & beautiful. The bath products provided were good quality! I loved the climate control in the room as yes, even in Mexico I am often cold & not keen on AC. I got heat! I asked staff “habla usted anglais, por favor?” as I’m still learning Spanish & we were able to make do just fine for the most part. Helpful staff, thank you! The breakfast was nice! Cereal, eggs, pastries, ham, queso. Apples. All manner of hot drinks, including my favorite, manzanilla, chamomile tea. To improve: Yes, it is noisy as hell. I could hear when people were talking, walking, opening and closing doors etc. This happened all night long and I did not sleep very well, but it was MUCH better than waiting it out at the airport as I’d planned to do. Bring earplugs & Google brown noise on YouTube to drown it out. The Wi-Fi password they gave me (twice) did not work. What does work is scanning the QR code for Wi-Fi on the nightstand with your phone. For your laptop, no idea. Overall: Good. Gracias!

Floors, walls are dirty. Does not feel clean. Beds are not comfortable.

As an airport hotel staff should understand that many customers have early flights. No so great Breakfast starts 730am, much to late for even 9am departures. Room 104 not advisable - No hot water, noisy all night and day even more so from lobby and hall guests. Airport transfer service is good. Can't open window stuffy air.

Clean, nice people working. 2 minutos from the airport. If you are flying the hotel will take you to it without any extra charge or if you need to go somewhere else, reception will help you to get a taxi.

The rooms are ice cold - so refreshing especially during the hot season! LOVE this hotel! So convenient to the airport.

Employees were ok Very clean, spacious room, showers was good Just need to check the manual lock to lock because they were not working Breakfast was included but very minimum

Near and conveniently located just 5 minutes from the airport. We had a 7:30 a.m. flight back so had to get up at 3 a.m. The rooms were clean and nice. Free parking is available. The two downsides are, one, if you stay in the second floor and press 2 on the elevator it will take you to the 3rd floor. You have to press 1 to get to the 2nd floor. Two, they don't have a lost and found, if you loose, you snooze basically. My husband had Ray Ban sun glasses, they were not cheap! Brings me back to one. We went to the 3rd floor thinking it was the second floor, his hands were full, he had his sunglasses with him, they fell to the floor, he picked them up and with the confusion and going up and down the stairs and elevator he lost them. There was carpeting in the hallway so we didn't hear anything fall and later when he was looking for them we just couldn't find them. There were housekeepers working in the rooms and some were roaming the hallways. I called the front desk twice, both times I was told nothing had been given to them while on their shift. I asked again when we were checking out at 3a.m. and was told nothing was given to her while on her shift....housekeepers were gone since 5 pm. I asked if they had a lost and found and said they didn't have that, I was like seriously??? So if you leave anything there, forget you'll ever see it again!!! They need fix this!!!

This hotel is always so nice to stay at. They have an airport shuttle. It is quiet for the most part except this last time, I had loud teenagers shouting in the hallway at night. The walls are a little thin as I could hear my neighbor snoring. The bed is comfortable and room is clean. Very convenient to airport.
