★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really had high expectations for this place, but was maybe expecting a little much for a “New Orleans” themed restaurant/bar in Mexico. I will say the staff was nice and friendly, cocktails were good and the vibe was fun. The deal is you can’t set a NOLA vibe playing music like Jimmy Buffett and ABBA (in Spanish).
We only had appetizers... the shrimp tacos were good but missing nice sized shrimp. Perhaps dinner is better. The bar area and the whole restaurant has a ice vibe, but definitely Nuevo Orleans.

Cons: small servings, a bit pricey (esp for the area), desserts were bland (but good if you don’t like treats very sweet).
My husband got the skirt steak and I got chicken fricassee. With the order of two entrees, we got a bottle of wine, which was nice. Presentation of the food was nice, there just wasn’t very much of it, especially for the price. I had one filed chicken breast in sauce with small Parmesan toasts encircling the plate -no sides. The meat was incredibly moist, but the sauce had too much spice -although this is a Cajun restaurant, so that wasn’t too unexpected.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great two for one happy hour cocktail list. Popcorn was served as a complimentary snack in the bar. It’s crowded for happy hour but super easy to meet new people and share tables & laughs. Food looked amazing but can’t attest to the taste. Server seemed annoyed that we didn’t order food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The shrimp gumbo had little liguid but was amazingly good. The garlic bread was perfect, service was great mid afternoon. Their labeled pepper sauce was terrific. My buddies shrimp salad was quite large with a lot of shrimp and they did not skimp on the avocado.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great 2 for 1 Happy Hour at the bar and the food was also excellent. Ordered Veal Sweetbread tacos, crab cakes and octopus carpaccio. All were amazing. Though the crab cakes were rather minuscule. The flavor made up for the size.
