Hayhu Beach Club - 77976 Mahahual

Only pro this place probable have its the quiet view and the private beach. Other than that I wouldn't recommend it. The food was meh, slow it took them 2 hours to serve the food and it wasn't even good. 100% good to go once and never again.

What a great place! Owner and staff are really friendly and accommodating! Great wine selection and the food is very good and served in front of the beach! Great to try kitesurfing and enjoy the peaceful side of mahahual!

Awesome place. I recommend if you are in Mahahual that you visit this place. Friendly people, great food and lots of area and views to sit and see. Ocean beach is right there. Very exclusive...no one around down the beach to both sides. We went when it was raining and still had a great time. Great way to celebrate my birthday

Highly recommended and worth the price. We were there today and loved the fresh food and drinks very much. It was roughly 25 minutes drive from the town of Mahahaul. Bring your own towel if you don’t want to pay for it.

I’ve traveled everywhere, been to every type of beach property there is. This is definitely in my top three. The food,the drinks, the service and the ambience are beyond compare and Rocky is one of the best waiters ever!

We planned a family cruise for Christmas - one of my sister's grandkids was turning 16 on Christmas Eve. We were looking for something special to do for his birthday and I found this little gem of a place. We decided to book the VIP experience for our party of 8. Hayhu staff worked with us to handle our transportation, including arranging for storage of a large electric scooter at the port. They also helped get a fabulous cake for the birthday boy. The beach club is very private and secluded. The ocean views form the deck were amazing. A food and beverage credit allows you to order cocktails and food. Everything we had was delicious. The mixed grill required some time to cook, but we were advised in advance. The food is not typical Mexican fare - we had avocados stuffed with lobster, grilled short ribs, flank steak, chicken breast, shrimp, lobster tail and sausages. Sides were baked potatoes, corncakes and grilled onions. We also ordered grilled vegetables. The cocktails were imaginative and very fresh tasting. The deck had a private bathroom with shower, tables, chairs, loungers and a hammock. The beach itself was very quiet. Service was amazing. The waiters were very attentive. All of the staff wore masks during our entire visit. Since it is an outdoor venue, they did not require masks of the patrons, nor did they inquire about vaccination status, but the areas where people would sit were well spaced from each other and it is not a huge venue. Round trip transportation from the port was included. We requested a pick up at a certain time and they were there right on time. I almost didn't write this review because this is such a hidden gem! I would definitely go there again on my next trip to Costa Maya. Since there were 8 of us, it was not appreciably more than the "beach break" options offered by the cruise line, but there were no people trying to sell souvenirs or henna tattoo, just sun, sand and ocean.

Tasty food, good cocktails, friendly staff. In all, great place to spend the day in a chill environment. In addition to the restaurant tables, they have hamacs, sunbeds and swings.
