The coffee is excellent, a must have if you’re an avid coffee drinker, and the owner is so sweet and friendly. Also there are a bunch of fun and delicious health and wellness add-ons.
Will be back again soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm so, so sad that we found this place at the end of our stay in Tulum and not on day 1. Hands down this was the best coffee we had in Mexico. The rest of the menu was delicious and unique, like the Pink Latte. One sip had me hooked! I'd never have thought cardamom and beets could make a drink so layered in flavor that is also refreshing, even as a hot drink on a hot day.
Pamela (the owner) is a sweetheart. We met so many kind people in Tulum, but she won the welcoming award. I didn't feel like a tourist in her shop, I felt like family stopping by tea. Her shop was the kind of place I'd hoped to find in Tulum, and I'm so so glad I did. Thank you Pamela!

We stayed in Aldea Zama for a month and went to multiple cafés & restaurants around the neighborhood, but kept coming back to Hemp Dog. Pamela is a world traveler and brings her own version of her life experiences to her café. She has a diffuser in the shop so it’s always so delightful being in there while she’s whipping up your order. She’s a one-woman show so exercising some patience is a plus. Pamela is as intriguing as her food & drinks are delicious, made with love. (Locally made beet bread - Pamela)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hemp Dog Coffee is a wonderful and unique cafe in Aldea Zama.
My favorite items from their menu include the Veggie Sandwich, which is huge and only $110 pesos, Avocado Toast for $150 pesos, and a selection of DELICIOUS smoothies for $150 pesos each. They also have Vegan popsicles which are perfect for hot days in Tulum.
All of their items use only fresh ingredients, and the bread they use is a local beet or turmeric bread that is one of a kind. Pamela, the owner and operator, is super kind and can help you find whatever else you are looking for in Aldea Zama or Tulum.
