Compared a couple other rentals and got the best deal here.

Bait and switch scam. Don’t waste your time or money trying to rent a car here. I made a reservation for a mini van online and paid in full. When I arrived they said they didn’t have vehicles available only small cars. They told me I would have to cancel my reservation and fill out a form online to apply for a refund.

They had no cars available despite the fact we had a reservation. Seems to be a problem at this location. Don’t book here if you actually need a car upon arrival!

The car I made the online reservation for was not available. I paid for a car in the category „I / Luxury: Chrysler 300 or equivalent“ but I‘ve got an Chevrolet Aveo. Unfortunately the counter was not able to return the money I‘ve paid more for the better car. I have to do it with Hertz customer service. But I still give 4 out of 5 stars because I had a accident and the service of Hertz was very good. Due to my online reservation I had the LDW with 0% payment in case of accident, damage, theft, etc. On the interstate a truck came on my left lane (where I was driving) and the car I‘ve rented bumped together with the wheel of the truck. Due to the good insurance I had with my contract I had no problems with Hertz. I was able to return the damaged car in Queretaro and Hertz Queretaro gave me a new car. Especially if you are not from Mexico I highly recommend you to get the insurance where you have to pay nothing in case of accident. Because in my case the truck didn‘t stopped immediately and the driver didn‘t accepted his fault. Especially as a foreigner it‘s hard to discuss with the people from Mexico so I highly recommend you to buy the full insurance. With the full insurance I had no problems no matter about the fault and I have got a new car from the next Hertz station in order to continue my travel.

Stay away! This crooked company tries to rip you off! This is NOT like Hertz that you know from Europe or USA. Read the other negative comments and take them seriously. Not only did they not give me card, they charged my credit card even though the guy at the counter said your credit card is being refunded. It gets even worse: even after disputing the charge on my credit card, they refused to pay me back by saying “they offered me the car at a different location” (obviously another lie). Oh, did I tell you that we went through a two hour nightmare at the airport because they and didn’t give us the car? Just save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Arrived and there were no cars available. After speaking with Hertz employees and reading other reviews this appears to be a recurring issue at this location. They state if you book through a 3rd party (expedia/Orbitz) they have no obligation to actually have a car for you. There is also no method for contacting the location directly to determine if a car will be available. I would not rent from here unless you book direct on their website.

Bait and switch SCAM. Do not use Hertz, Firefly, Dollar, or Thrifty (all same company) at this location. I make a reservation over one week in advance and paid online. I arrived at the airport at 8am to pick up my car. At that time I was told no cars were available, however, they would be available at 5pm. I wasted an entire day waiting for the car and returned at exactly 5pm. At that moment the office manager (Claudia P. Garcia Montesinos) told me they did indeed have a car available, but it was a minivan. I said that would be fine, but then was informed there would be an additional charge of almost $100 on top of what I paid because the van was an upgrade. No free upgrade. I must pay for the extra cost of the van. I have never in my life - in Mexico, the USA, or Europe been held hostage for upgrade fees if the vehicle class I rented was out of stock.

Hertz is one the worst companies I have had to deal with during a recent trip in November to Mexico. This specific location tried to charge me OVER $800 for insurance after I purchased the rental through plum benefits, a third party agency, along with a protection plan(insurance). After cancelling my insurance through allianz on the recommendation of the agent because they did not accept any outside insurance, her lowest “offer” on their private insurance was about $500 after over an hr trying to figure something out. I told them I would waive the insurance and sign a liability form where I take full responsibility for any damages. They then tried to put a $1500 US hold on my cc. After almost half an hr of trying to put the hold on my cc, they kept claiming my card wasn’t going through. I called my cc company and there was no problem with my card as I had the funds. I ended up cancelling my reservation and a month later I still have no money back. I am now having to deal with my cc directly to see if they can help. I had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience, I would not recommend this location.
