★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried to rent a car in Playa del Carmen and it was the worst rental experience ever. I had a reservation to pick up at 9pm. According to hertz webpage the office closes at 10pm. I arrive at 9.10pm and Mr. Alberto Jauregui tells me that they are closed and that they had no cars left. After some discussion he says he has a Jetta available but it is not the car I rented, when I tell him to upgrade me, he says he does not have the key.
We lost hotel reservations and guided tour reservations because of the lack of service of the company. Really unprofessional.
