They were pretty fast at giving us our car rental and pretty fast during the return. Cars are in a very good state...almost brand new!

We reserved a car and the people running the desk desired to try and upsell us. We declined. They proceeded to tell my girlfriend (who had a Mexican driver's license and her Mexican passport that they needed additional documentation for proof for of address which was clearly made up. They said it's her responsibility to to bring a piece of mail (phone bill ect..). The girl ended up ripping the document right in front of us as a gesture disrespect. To top it off the told us that they could not refund us for the reservation that was already paid for and we had to take it up with hear office. They gave an email and we called multiple people. Currently our situation is that we are waiting untill November 22? (Two months away) for them to tell us if we qualify for our money back (for a car they wouldn't give us lol);clearly something else was at play here. Hertz either rented out car to someone else (formula 1 grand prix was in town) or the company has some currupt policies where they try to pressure you into additional features/insurance upgrades/or higher model of cars by taking advantage of people in a high stress situation like a busy airport. I hope that the people at the top of this company see this post and try and make some changes and stop the individuals taking part in this scam. *Will update about our refund.

The gave me a car with almost no gas and told me I could bring it back the same way. I didn't think anything of it except that apparently there was a major gas shortage in Mexico City and there was no gas to be found! Went to 4 different gas stations, all were out of gas. I ran out of gas at the fourth gas station and had to spend the night at a horrible, dirty hotel across the street from the gas station, even though I had a paid hotel room waiting for me at my destination in Taxco which I was never going to make with the gas level I had when Hertz have the car. The shortage of gas was something we Americans did not know, but the Hertz attendant certainly knew about, and yet he decided to send a tourist in a rental car, who does not know the city, out on his own with no gas nor a warning. For that... One star. I'll never ever rent from Hertz again, even though I am a gold level with them. I'll go Avis instead

Beware the location posted is not the Hertz location but the rather airport. They give you the airport location then charge you a fee to transport you to the actual hertz car lot. Prices are fair, I don't recommend getting the insurance because it's very expensive. Take photos of the cars condition before you leave just in case.

This is not like Hertz in the US. Don't expect to get in and out really quickly. However, the cars are very well maintained and the service is excellent. There's also a gas station right around the corner from the rental car place, so that's very convenient.

Very bad experience with Hertz at the airport. We had reserved a car online and when we picked it up, the agent asked us to cancel the order because he could not go any further knowing that the name on the blue card was not the same as the name on the reservation. We cancelled the order (we still haven't received the refund) and when we came back to him he offered us the same car 3 times more expensive! With a very expensive insurance. We decided to leave and go to Europcar a few meters away where we had a better reception and much better prices.

I had a very good experience with Hertz. I booked the car within an hour of needing the it and Hertz was helpful and organized. I had booked a car with another company and that company lost my reservation when I went to pick it up, and no cars were available. This was on a Saturday on a national holiday long weekend. I called Hertz and their phone service was quick and helpful. Within less than 10 minutes I had the car booked and for a lower price than m previous lost reservation! The staff at the Hertz pick up (outside of the airport) were very friendly and helpful even though the place was packed with people. Separate note -Google Maps did not bring me to the correct drop off location. I recommend you drop a pin.
